Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

I enjoyed this restaurant. Let me start off by saying that I have NO qualms with it being all vegetarian -- I don't eat a lot of meat... so that has nothing to do with my negative reviews. I think the prices were just a bit high for what you get. Also the service was pretty mediocre. The chips were... More

The quality and variety of food here is excellent but you pay quite a high price for it. I would recommend a visit and it may well convert a few meat eaters. The organic beer is really good and worth a try. Service in this busy resturant is always very good.

The flagship veggie Brighton veggie resturant. Good, creative food, lots of flavour and oomph. Nice staff. Not so good for vegans, but the food is at least clearly labelled. And it costs - I ate there alone, main, desert, and a coffee and it was £25.

We chose this restaurant for dinner on a last minute trip to Brighton last week and we cannot fault a thing. My Fiance is a chef and usually is quite anti both vegetarians and boring vegetarian food, however it was my choice of restaurant. It was very busy for a wednesday night and we had not booked but they quickly... More

I've been a vegetarian for nearly 16 years now, and have seen my fair share of vegetarian meals. Dining out is a predictable experience in most restaurants - I have the soup and then make do with some overcooked pastry thing called a 'tartlet' or otherwise it's mushroom stroganoff. Vegetarian restaurants are a rare and welcome change, but in my... More

Really unusual menu, great flavours, friendly service. A different style from Food for Friends (another vegetarian restaurant nearby) but equally good.

This is probably the best vegetarian restaurant I have ever visited! It's a 'proper' restaurant which just happens to serve vegetarian/vegan food. The food was divine and there was a good number of vegan choices too. The service was excellent. It was expensive - a criticism that I have heard levelled at it a number of times. However, the obvious... More

The Restaurant is in need of some fresh redec and remove the horrid purple paint. It all feels a little outdated and scruffy. Staff professional and are good and very consistent. Only one GF dessert on offer .. Food is not as good as our visit in 2011 and 2010 BUT we would still return. Few Veggie Restaurants are up to... More
