Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

It is heartening to go to a vegetarian restaurant that has a bit of pzazz & offers something different & I can't dispute either of these nor the presentation of the food which was very exciting & interesting. It was approx £15 for a main course & as one is paying for chef time & attention to detail then we... More

This is one of those legendary Brighton restaurants that many locals never quite make it to (a little like the Brighton pier!), but we finally took the plunge and I am so glad we did. Drom the moment we opened the door the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We had the seasonal set menu, mainly because we weren't really... More

I absolutely love Terre a Terre. My family and I go regularly and whenever I have guests to visit, I always take them for a meal here. My partner and I took his sister this weekend for a meal and I loved the new seasonal menu. We had a three course meal that came to £97.00 which for the food... More

We had a very pleasant evening in Terre a Terre. Not being knowledgeable about vegetarian food we took choices from their set menu and found the whole meal very tasty with subtle flavours, very well balanced, very well presented and served by a knowledgeable waitress. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing and far away from the hustle and... More

Lunch this time at Terre a Terre was the Tapas with chuncky chips and carafe for 2 people - at £39.95 not cheap but absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. You never get a bad meal here and I have never taken a meat eating friend who has not enjoyed it too. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed

My boyfriend booked a table for my birthday, the waiting staff were second to none. We had an incredibly friendly and extremely helpful waiter serving us. When he asked if it was a special occasion and my boyfriend told him it was my birthday my desert came out with happy birthday written in chocolate and a candle... Such a nice... More

We popped in for lunch having heard good things. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and feels canteen like in many ways. The menu is over complicated and I got bored trying to understand it so took pot luck. I was told that my main course 11.50 salad was small so asked if I would like something to go with it. At... Had a late lunch. Very interesting menu and helpful service. If you like vegetarian food (and even if you don't) give this restaurant a try. Bought their book of recipes. Would go back.

Nice food but pretentious menu with each item having a huge list of ingredients. The place is clearly run to maximise profit. Coke is a served in small 200ml bottles and chunky chips at 5:95 are two examples. A few chips, battered cheese and some peas for 15 quid. Won't be returning.
