Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

I love love love this place. The food is exceptionally good and I would defy any meat eater not to enjoy at least something on the menu. I can't fault it.

This is classic Brighton. Some of the best vegetarian food available in the UK, in a warm welcoming setting. We sat outside in their patio in the back. I ordered their platter which had a selection of most of their recommended items (although when I looked at other people's food I also coveted their food). The food is beautifully presented,... More

This has to be the best restaurant in Brighton!! Nothing compares to the amazing dishes and the fantastic staff- nothing seems too much trouble. We always come here for our wedding anniversaries and any other occasion we can think of! Our food was out of this world a real culinary delight and our waitress was incredible. Returned after a while. Excellent food, quite unique. Courteous and discreet service. Never as full as Food for Friends and I have no idea why. Perhaps I do.. the extract for the kitchens throbs at a very low frequency - the whole of the rear dining area is out of bounds for us. It is *unbearable*. Others seem completely oblivious... More

Both the Trip Advisor reviews and the locals I talked with raved about this place. And they were spot on. The food is exceptional, the ambience is great, and the service was truly top notch. The staff were helpful, courteous, and attentive without being intrusive. Can't remember when I've had better service. The food is delicious; subtle and sophisticated in... More

We were recommended to eat in this place by a friend as well as the owner of our B & B. We are not vegetarians and love meat but this was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. The menu was delightful with a huge variety of foods. We went with the recommendation of the charming waitress and... More

Such a warm welcome fantastic atmosphere with an extremely friendly and helpful front of house, and the food? Well where do I start? Art on a plate with extremely imaginative flavour combinations so that when reading the menu makes it impossible to choose as all so intriguing! My mum and I enjoyed the taster tapas for 2, every bite was... More

I went here with my son who is vegan, and a friend who is not vegetarian. All I can say is that the food was spectacular and the staff were fabulous. It was not only the best vegetarian meal I have had but the best meal ever! It wasn't cheap but well worth it. The wine list was also excellent.... More
