Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant...
Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

This was some of the best food I have ever eaten, not just veggie food, but any food. It was sublime - and all SO healthy. But the tastes are what will take me back. Amazing!!

We're not vegetarians however we found the food here to be imaginative, tasty and present lovingly. There were some great flavours in a lot of the dishes and because the menu breaks down the ingredients into each vegetable and cooking technique, the food sounds awesome and you just wanted to try it all! I choose the tasting platter for myself... More

Last minute decision - haven't been here for a while but we were in Brighton so decided to give it a go. The food was good, but we waited ages - more than an hour from when we arrived to the main course being put in front of us. I asked what had happened, and they said that my dish... More

I had heard much about this restaurant and always wanted to visit on my previous visits to the city but never got there; finally I have. It is everything it says on their website, vegetarian and organic. The restaurant has a beautiful simple and warm decor. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. I stayed with the fixed price... More

I didn't realise that Vegan food could be served like this. My daughter is vegan and I eat vegan food when we are out to please her. I always judge it on a 'vegan food scale' That's to say not comparable to what I would normally eat. However, this restaurant has opened my eyes. The food was so delicious and... More

I was visiting Brighton on business and a friend suggested having lunch at Terre a Terre. I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong eating a 'real' fish and chips, but the vegetarian version did not disappoint! The staff found a table for us without pre-booking, and the experience was great. The food arrived soon enough for us to finish... More

A long established highly rated vegetarian restaurant on the Brighton Foodie scene, Terre a terre did not disappoint. Service was great and even the most committed carnivores in my family loved the food. Heaven knows why I waited so long..... (total bill for 6 adults including (very good) wine was £265)

Brighton is blessed with having more vegetarian restaurants than any other city I know, including three of my favourites: Food for Friends, the superb Indian restaurant, Planet India and Terre a Terre. Possibly the most expensive of the three, however, for a special occasion absolutely worth a visit and best to book in advance on a weekend. This Easter Sunday,... More

This is a real treat for vegetarians,a great menu to choose from, not just the normal bog standard veggie lasagna! The food was full of flavour and colour and the wine was great too.Service was of a very high standard but friendly, we even got lucky and had a free dessert, due to a mix up from another table. I would defiantly... More
