Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front, it consistently achieves awards such as the AA Rosettes and has been listed as one of the Top Ten Healthy Eating Restaurants in the U.K by Channel 4. The décor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £40 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

There is a good reason for this vegetarian restaurant to be quite busy: it is close to excellent! We had a tasty soup and risotto, for once not too fat and heavy, and a rosti with spinach and egg. Personnally I discarded the cheese on top of the potatoes because it is an overkill, but the veggies were extremely well... More

My wife and I visited on 15th June for lunch. Neither of us is vegetarian but we like eating here because the food is so well cooked and presented. We both had the Raj Rosti as a main course which was excellent. Service is friendly and professional. The £25 three course menu is good value, but make sure that you... More

Looking at the menu I was immediately struck by the absence of Nut Loaf, Vegetable Lasagna, Risotto and all the other usual standards served up by restaurants boasting Vegetarian options. The menu and wine list is a delight and even my non-vegitarian friends were amazed at some of the dishes we ordered. The restaurant has recently had a major face... More

My wife is a Vegatarian and we often struggle to find Restaurants with an exciting menu. The menu here is unbelievable with some many interesting ingredients combined to offer great choice. We had three starters followed by 2 very different main courses, one a mix of Middle Eastern ingredients and the other a classic English summer dish...Asparagus, souffle and very... More

Excellent food, presented well and staff friendly. Can't say more really, as a vegetarian this place is the place to visit for a fancy meal or special occasion.

An interesting, amusing and very tempting menu, even for a meat eater like me. I wanted to try every dish on offer. Great staff. Three meat eaters and one veggie, four very, very happy diners. Have no hesitation in recommending it to everyone.

We are very regular visitors to Terre a Terre and were accordingly very sad when the restaurant was forced to close late last year following a major fire in the kitchen. It was an absolute delight to be able to return recently and although there was some initial trepidation about whether they would be able to maintain their incredibly high... More

We were given a meal here as a present - the restaurant supply plastic card prepaid vouchers for gift use. It is a specialist vegetarian restaurant with a very large and imaginative choice of dishes enough to suit all palates - even tempting for non-veggies. There is a fixed 3 course meal deal for £25 which is probably best value.... More
