We came here with another couple one of whom is seriously veggie. She said it was her best meal out ever (and she's been out lots). Original recipes and wonderful for omnivores too. Discussing with staff this standard of food takes on average about 50% longer to prepare than meat or fish but it's certainly worth it. Very highly recommended.

Yesterday evening my partner called the restaurant around 730 and asked If it was necessary to make a reservation. Was told on the phone not necessary, so we strolled into the restaurant at 830, stood by the door for a couple of mins. We were acknowledged by the barman. The waitress came over and we asked for a table for... More

Lunch Saturday with the Vegan better half- courgette starter very good and I had tofu in hosin which was just superb. Main- aubergine was very good. Hot banana good and cheese board was exceptional. Cocktails excellent. Service brilliant and atmosphere really enjoyable with happy diners. You need to book I'd guess and you should do as this was very reasonable... More

We booked a table on the recommendation of a non vegetarian and we were not disappointed! My husband is also not a vegetarian and he loved it as much as I did. We had the tapas and each dish was full of interest texture and flavour. I had a delicious 'liquid dessert' a chocolate cocktail. My only regret is not... More

This was my third visit to Terre a Terre and once again it didn't disappoint. The food is amazing and as a vegetarian for over 40 years, the menu is unique and like no other vegetarian restaurant I have experienced. I went with 2 "carnivores" who thoroughly enjoyed the food too and weren't left feeling hungry due to the lack... More

The food was superb. Can highly recommend almost eveything we tried, but for a starter go for the mixed platter which includes a bit of everything and give you a real feel of the quality and precision of the cooking here. Those used to having only one or two veggie choices in a normal restaurant will be totally blown away... More

Vegetarian food with a difference with unusual combinations and interesting twists that should be enough to satisfy the biggest sceptics. Service was excellent and the food is beautifully presented. It's not the cheapest (main £15, starter/dessert £8) but certainly well worth a visit

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and it is that rare place that you can take non-veggies (as indeed we are) and they are likely to have as good a dining experience as vegetarians. The menu descriptions are a little much for some and if you wanted to read the menu descriptions in full you would need to allow... More

This is truly one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the UK. We went a few years ago and were delighted that the standard of the food and service were still first class.
