What a lovely place to eat.

Every time we've been to Casalingo the food and service has been fantastic. The menu is great, nothing is to much trouble. You are always made to feel very welcome, but it is advisable to book The chef's specials are lovely. My daughter's favourite starter was fried mozzarella in breadcrumbs... read more

We ate here three years ago and thought the fillet steak was the best we'd ever tasted. We came back two years ago and, again, had a wonderful meal. This time we were concerned that the restaurant may have changed hands as the pictures showed that the signed arches had gone but, although redecorated, the lovely family are still there... More

Restaurant was chosen for a birthday dinner by my boyfriend as I love Italian and I was not disappointed. Very reasonable prices (even for half a lobster!), delicious food, and friendly service. Would definitely revisit.

Wow......super fresh food and top quality service. Staff couldn't do enough for us which is a big help when you are with 2 young children. The best Linguine Pescatore I have eaten since my travels around the Amalfi Coast. Was pretty reasonable too and the portion sizes where very generous. Would definitely visit again when in Brighton........Ben Fatto

Were really excited about trying this restaurant, had read the reviews and was expecting something special, found a good friendly place with well cooked food, I thought the menu was pretty ordinary Italian fare, of course I enjoyed my visit very much, but not the experience I was expecting

My husband and I used to visit here often when we lived in Brighton but haven't been for a few years. We both remembered the lovely atmosphere and food, so fancied the drive as a birthday treat. We were not disappointed and both really enjoyed our meal. We didn't have room for pudding! We arrived early and our table was... More

I've been here twice now and had a great experience each time, with top, tasty food, great service, and a lovely environment. The menu is varied, well priced, each component of the meal working well and feeling like someone has made an effort so that it is as good as possible. The portions are generous, and there are lots of... More

Me and my girlfriend in Brighton for 2 nights and on our last night we were wondering in the summer cool air throughout the lanes. We came across this gem! Unsure what we wanted to eat but finally choosing Italian mainly for the smells coming from the restaurant! We entered just after a couple leaving from the table in the... More

This restaurant does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a traditional family-run Italian with the usual staples done competently. The service is friendly and efficient. We tried their fritto misto starter and then two of the pasta dishes (both generous portions). With a shared dessert, a bottle of wine and water, it came to £90 for two (London... More

Thank you very much for your review. I am a bit surprised that you compare our priced to London prices. A fritto misto £ 8.50 2 most expensive pasta £ 12.95 each with seafood = £ 25.90 1 dessert £ 5.50 1 mineral water £ 2.50 That will come to £ 42.40 To get to £ 90 as you quoted... More
