On a short two day trip to Brighton, arriving Sunday evening so wanted somewhere decent for dinner. Found Casalingo via Trip Adviser, love Italian food and reviews good, so booked a table. Excellent experience from start to finish. Made welcome by staff; good menu with some innovative specials. Squid ink and calamari risotto was superb from specials menu. We asked... More

So disappointed! Heard mixed reviews but we decided to give the restaurant a try - 1. Food is obviously reheated . My Salmon was rock hard and potatoes were dry. Lasagne was dry and both people who ordered it complained but no action taken 2. Service was good considering how busy it was, but the focus was definitely on the... More

I have to say, I'm not normally a fan of going out to eat Italian food. I always think it's the kind of thing that you can made a pretty decent job of at home, and isn't all that special- however, having had a fantastic couple of meals at Francos (different restaurant, I know) I thought I'd try another Brighton... Just got back from another great meal. It was a busy night at the restaurant but that did not stop both the food and service being excellent! If you're looking for a great meal in Brighton it is one of the best places to go. You won't be disappointed!! Thanks again to Angelo and all his great staff!!

I'd read good things on here about this restaurant and so decided to give it a go as I'm still on the hunt for the perfect Carbonara. I arrived at around 19:00 and the place was deserted but there are a lot of eateries in Preston Street! A friendly greeting and shown to a table immediately and the service was... More

I used TripAdvisor to select this restaurant and wasn't disappointed. Lovely service and good food. Will be happy to retun when next in Brigton.

We asked in the pub up the road. Which is the best restaurant in the street? which is full of eateries. They said Casalingo, so we took the plunge. We ate off the specials section. I had stroganoff and she had Salmon penne. Both delicious. Likewise the desert and service, all of a high standard. I'm a very fussy eater... More

We went here for a meal on Valentines day. Understandably, the restaurant was very busy, which I imagine it is most Friday and Saturday nights. I was pleased that to Casalingo's credit, they were offering the a la carte and not a limited Valentines menu. I am mindful that the restaurant was busy, but the service was very slow nevertheless.... More
