We went here for a meal on Valentines day. Understandably, the restaurant was very busy, which I imagine it is most Friday and Saturday nights. I've written a few damning reports recently which is always horrid so its nice to report that the food and service is superb here! The wine menu is well stocked and well priced we had a brilliant Nera d'avela. We only had one course but my linguine frutti di mare was fantastic, piled high with seafood. We'll be back but... We had a lovely meal in this great spot - the service was excellent, and the food delicious. All of the waiting staff were kind and friendly and made it a lovely evening. Well worth a visit if you enjoy Italian!

Me and my partner visited Brightin for his 20th and we came across Casalingo - sweet little restaurant in a busy part of town. We both love Italian and this looked just perfect. They greeted us with enthusuasm and were so genuinely friendly is was so nice to see, they let us choose our table - drinks were lush and... More

Dined here on Tuesday evening with a good friend and we weren't disappointed. The manager was really welcoming and the waiter was polite, efficient and unobtrusive. The king prawn starter was really tasty and my steak 'Rossini' was cooked perfectly and was a decent sized portion. I would recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian food served in a friendly environment

Went to Casalingo last night for dinner. The food really was outstanding; the wine delightful. Really great value for money. The friendly service must also get a mention! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

First off, the staff are a pleasure. They were really friendly, smiley and attentive without being annoying. Service was quick and the food didn't take too long either. The food itself was really lovely, between us we had the pollo sole mio, pollo angelino and the lasagne and they were all great, seasoned perfectly and the sautéed potatoes that came... More

We went for a birthday meal for my girlfriend and we were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in, they even left a little rose on the table for the occasion. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful throughout and the owner is an absolute charmer. At no point did we feel rushed to finish our meal... More

Booked here after looking on Trip Advisor, and this restaurant more than lived up to it's Trip Advisor reputation! The service was warm, very friendly and also very efficient. The food was very good, and not over priced. I'd definitely return to Casalingo on a future visit to Brighton!
