This is my third or fourth time visiting here and this was the best yet, I had spaghetti carbonara while the others in my party tried the lasagne and the gnocchi, everything was cooked to perfection and I had a taste of the gnocchi and thought it was delicious I will definitely be ordering that next time! The best part... More

We were recommended by our hotel proprietor when I asked him for the name of a good Italian restaurant. The Casalingo is such a premise. The prices are not cheap but to use a Yorkshire phrase' tha doesn't get out for nought' I enjoyed two glasses of house wine and they were excellent. My wife had a linquini pasta with... More

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner this weekend after reading all of the reviews on trip advisor. I am delighted to say it didn't disappoint. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is superb. My husband had the calamari which was a very large portion (double what you would get in some other well know... More

POSITIVES: Welcoming, good service, it is a ristorante not a pizza palace. Spotless table with crisp white linen cloth and shining glasses. Interesting menu and food well presented For example Cozze (mussels) wonderful large ones in tasty cream sauce. Baked figs with ricotta and parma ham... delicious. Wine list very good and not expensive for a bottle. Meal for 4... More

Modern in decor, family run authentic Italian restaurant. They don't do Pizza though. That was not a problem for us, we had as a starter THE BEST Mussels that we have ever had, sauce was gorgeous, Hubby had Breseola loads of it with Rocket & Sun Dried Tomatoes, which was absolutely excellent. Seafood Linguine and Canelloni with Ricotta and Spinach... More

Very nice Italian with a more interesting menu than the run-of-the-mill Italian served by staff that really couldnt cope on the night. We would have stayed longer and possibly eaten more but the poor waitresses were run off their feet. Never mind, go on a quiet night for some excellent Italian food
