Good food good service

The place was rammed and we were lucky to get a table but the staff were very accommodating. The food was really good but the service better thanks to Vidal. Happy to have a laugh and recommended some good choices when we were unsure

We came here for our fourth anniversary. First visit to Brighton and after navigating the lanes we popped in for lunch. I am later told by friends that we were lucky to get a table, so I am pleased that we were quickly ushered to a lovely quiet corner despite it being a busy time of day! The food was... More

We had to book here about a month in advance. There's two sittings 7pm and 9pm. We could only get the 7pm sitting. We were greeted by who I assume was the owner/manager, not once did he smile. The waiter on the other hand who took our order was fantastic and funny. He recommended food, he advised not too over... More

I have been here a couple of times in the last month and on both occasions have been impressed with the food and the friendliness of the staff. Prices are reasonable for what is some interesting and lovely food. The specials add some nice variety to the standard menu (not that it is dull in the first place)! I have... More

Great food, small and pretty restaurant and the staff can't do enough for you. Standard menu covers all the tapas favourites and there's usually a great specials board too. The last time I was there was for a birthday celebration and left feeling quite spoilt. A cosy place so if you are looking for a romantic meal then it's great... More

Very nice Tapas, waiter was very good, and guided us not to order too much from the menu as often can be the case with Tapas, after all it all tastes great. The specials were very good

A decent choice for a Saturday lunchtime. We had about seven dishes between two of us plus bread and olives (very tasty olives, we polished off the lot). Just about the right amount really. The rabbit and grilled sardines were particularly good. although maybe we would have chosen an alternative to patatas bravas if we'd figured out the rabbit had... More

Its like you,re transported to Spain as you cross the threshold. Four of us had ten plates of tapas, it was delicious and the service was first class. The atmosphere in Brighton is always lifted by The Great Escape so those little whitebaits are even MORE delicious and racey. I would definitely recommend and visit again.

Visited with an old friend last Wednesday and booked beforehand to ensure a table. The restaurant was very busy and had a great lively atmosphere due to its size. Our server was a very pleasant young lady and the service was very swift. The portion sizes and quality were ok - nothing exceptional, as is usual outside of Spain (with... More

It's a very nice place, very Spanish feel. The service is excellent and the wine and spanish ciders are great. Good range of tapas, not too many. Generally the food is good. The squid was very overdone though, really rubbery and two of the dishes are clearly pre-prepared and then put in the microwave a little bit too long. I'd... More
