Visited Saturday and Sunday

We enjoyed both visits. I had the mussels on my first visit and enjoyed them, only 3 did not open but you get a large portion. We both had the confit of duck on the Sunday and loved it. I changed the dauphinoise potatoes for frites and was glad as my wife's was dry and stodgy. The restaurant was... read more

Went for dinner at cafe rouge. Never been before. Voucher codes had a 30% off so decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! I had king prawns to start and the duck for main. My girlfriend and I had a lovely night and I would recommend coming here for dinner.

We were hungry there was a table on sat night dived in it was fine. Good chips..good steak though rather on the small size for the price I felt. It could have been a bit thicker and a bit bigger.

Whenever we go to brighton we always try and eat here. We were seated straight away. We ordered our starter and steaks. It was very busy but didn't really have to wait long. The food was good as always and so was the service. Im sure our next trip to brighton will involve another meal here.

We had two hours before our show so we chose the Cafe Rouge which we have used before in other towns. Main course was served whilst we were still enjoying our starter snacks with our bottle of wine. Food was average and the staff were pleasant but we were very surprised when we asked for a cheese board to be... More

First of all the waiters there did not have good service and was unprofessional. They kept knocking bottles over and were very slow to respond. Secondly, the mussels were not fresh AT ALL. Resulted in a diarrhea and slight vomiting. Will never visit again

Pre show dinner, we hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy with lots of other people doing the same but service was speedy so we got to the show on time. Food was good as is usually the case with Cafe Rouge, what stood out to me was the service we received from the waiter - he was absolutely charming... More

On one day the steak was good, on another the moules. The wine was uplifting, when so often wine by the glass can be rather flat. The service was prompt. A pleasant, no fuss experience.
