Great cocktails at the bar upstairs

We recently had a small function at the bar above the restaurant. Best cocktails I've ever tasted and John (the bar manager) was very accommodating to our needs. We also had sushi and other nibbles brought up from the restaurant which was fantastic. Drinks are reasonably priced. Highly recommended... read more

Really lovely food and great atmosphere. Food not the cheapest I've had, but worth the extra pennies. Dessert was to die for as well. Authentic and enjoyable. Would go back again.

My partner and I visited Oki-Nami for lunch on Sunday 2nd Jan after visiting the Royal Pavilion. We ordered one noodle soup and one chicken noodle dish. It took around 45 minutes from the waitress taking out order for these to make it to our table, and when they did, they were staggeringly bad; the noodles were burnt and congealed,... More

We visited the restaurant recently and took some friends as a treat to say thank you to them for numerous favours. Having been before a couple of years ago, we expected a calm and pampered evening. Unfortunately standards seem to have dropped considerably. The food was great but the service was very slow and forgetful. We had to ask for... More

A great find and if you like Japanese food then this is very authentic and excellent value for money. Their sushi is some of the best outside of Tokyo! The staff are wonderfully attentive and it is a must for anyone looking for a pre-theatre dinner as it is next door to the theatre. Booking is essential as it is... More

Do the good folk of Brighton know how lucky they are? This is a genuine Japanese restaurant serving authentic food at great value. For those of us used to paying extortionate amounts for the same food in the capital, this is a gem.

Had a really lovely meal service wasn't rushed and felt really welcome. Food was delicious, I had Miso soup, Wasabi peas, and dumplings we had water as a side and didn't have dessert but the menu looked delicious. Next time I'm in Brighton I'll definitely visit :)

I went to Oki Nami with three friends before going to the theatre due to it being so close. We got a table for 6pm and our show wasn't until 7.45pm, which we thought would be plenty of time, how wrong we could be. We arrived on time and they took our drinks order but was quite some time before... More
