Had a super evening on Friday night, eight of us celebrating my sons 30th birthday & his girlfriends. The food was excellent as was the service. For starters (to name a few) we had Tempura, Sirloin Steak Skewers, I had the Sushi & Sashimi (excellent). For mains we had Salmon Teriyaki, Gyu Wafu Teri (steak), Chilli Beef Noodles, Yakisoba (delicious),... More

Lovely fresh ingredients. Spicy grilled tuna skewer not to be missed. Service a bit brusque, but overall definitely worth a visit. Very thoughtful food that was beautifully presented...

We loved our meal here. The Teriyaki Beef and Sushimi Bento boxes were delicious. The sun was shining and we were able to enjoy our meal outside and take in the surroundings. The owner was really welcoming and friendly and we were delighted to hear he had gone to university in our home town of Bangor! If you want to... More

Not good value. Lunch menu is very expensive. The sushi was asda quality. The service was good in central location.

We usually love coming here for cocktails, really nice space with good view from the balcony. Last night we were served by the most miserable bar man - I'm not sure if he'd had some really bad news, that was his last day on the job and he didn't care or no one has ever shown him how to smile... I went for cocktails with some friends and thought I would return for food. The results were disappointing - I had quite a number of dishes - £40 worth - and there was just me. Then something really strange happened - the chef came out and asked whether I had enjoy this dish. I said - actually I found it... More

4 adults and 4 children we visited the part owned Norman cool aka fat-boy slim restaurant for Saturday evening food. Although early the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the service wasn't great, forgetting a dish until near the end when everybody had nearly finished. Quality of some food was good but expensive and not great portion size ( appreciate that Japanese... More

I have visited this restaurant twice now. The first time, I ordered a hot tofu teriyaki dish and my partner had a veggie sushi platter. The sushi platter was great, but my dish was massively over salty. We thought we'd give the place another chance though, and next time around I ordered the sushi platter too, which was very nice.... We were looking forward to a tasty Japanese lunch in Brighton on the bank holiday weekend. We had heard good things about this restaurant so we were prepared for a great meal. Unfortunately, it was decidedly ordinary. We had Edamame, Kaisen Gyoza, Yasai Gyoza, the Chisan Set sushi and the Black Cod skewers. It was all ordinary, nothing special. We... More

We went here for dinner on Friday night based on a recommendation from the cocktail waitress at our hotel, and weren't disappointed. We ordered a variety of dishes and the majority were stunning. Particular highlights included pork gyoza, prawn tempura, amazing yaki-soba (took me back to the best you get at temple festivals in Japan), and delicious tender sushi. It... More
