A little gem

It was so warm yesterday, we decided to eat somewhere with outside seating. I remembered the Coach & Horses: a lovely cobble-stoned yard with seating area, choose sun or shade, as you like. Enthusiastic welcome from one member of staff, great food: I had belly pork cassoulet which was faultless... read more

Good food, good service, lively atmosphere. What's not to like? This place has a gastro-pub feel and the food was great. Good for parties but not too oppressive if you are just in a couple.

Dropped in on chance and not disappointed. Friendly staff with good menu and service to match. French house wine was good value.

Three of us dropped in to the Coach House without any prior booking. The meal was superb - home made, tasty and with decent sized portions. The service was excellent and the bill was moderate. The only surprise was that it wasn't more busy. Would definitely recommend.

I treated my Mum for lunch here one Saturday in March as it's nearly her birthday. We both had a rose prosecco and a jug of water, as it is a lunch we didn't choose a starter but for main I had the risotto (which was tasty & fresh), & my Mum had the cod which she really enjoyed. We... More

Last night we visited here with friends who live nearby and visit here for drinks but who hadnt previously eaten there. We were sat by the fire pit which was a welcoming position on a cold night. The atmosphere was relaxing and the the guy we had waiting on our table was attentive and funny. The cod main dish i... More

Four of us arrived for a late lunch at 2pm but didn't leave until 7pm! Everyone's food was tasty and we'll presented and the service was good. At no point did we feel under pressure to leave, which would have happened in many establishments. The ambience was relaxed and the fire pit is lovely. Very happy with this place. There... More
