Moshimo is one of Brighton's most popular restaurants, with a fiercely loyal customer base: 35% of its customers dine at the restaurant at least once a week. They visit regularly because they know the staff, and know how good the food is.The restaurant's 50% MOSHIMO MONDAYS & TUESDAYS, where members receive 50% off their food, is a sell-out. It is OK, would not go back in a while

I visited this restaurant with my partner on a Saturday night. It was not too busy. We wanted to order some sashimi and we ask the waitress if the tuna tataky-sashimi was raw to what she answered yes... It wasn't. We order aubergines with miso sauce and instead we got two miso soups. On the sushi... read more

I love japanese food and have been to many restaurant across the globes but this one is consistently at the top of my list. The selection of both hot and cold dishes is vast and each one prepared with passion and care. The restaurant itself is beautiful and opens up in the summer months. There is often a queue waiting... My partner and I dined here for dinner on a Saturday evening in early February. We wanted Sushi due to its health properties as we're currently both on a diet! I was surprised that there tables available to book online given that other sushi restaurants I tried to book for the same time were totally booked - but now I... More

Oh, to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous TripAdvisor reviews! (It's the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death this year, after all!) James, you seem outraged that we have tinned tuna maki and therefore jump to the indignant conclusion that we are not a "real" sushi restaurant. May I correct you on this matter? 1. You often find tinned tuna... More

There are seven Japanese restaurants in Brighton and as a great lover of raw fish, that suits me just fine. I didn’t want a sit-down lunch today so I opted for the informality of the carousel experience. It worked really well, mainly because there were many more different choices available than the usual Yo! experience. It’s also great fun to... More

A feast for the eyes and the stomach. Absolutely delicious lunch. We enjoyed the bento box from the new menu. Very reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. Popular for good reason!

Very rarely have I ever come across any kind of eatery that is so consistently spot on with the quality and choice of food, level of service and attention, value for money and great atmosphere. I began eating here socially a couple of years ago and began raving about it at work as we are only just around the corner.... More

We had tasty food. I had particularly enjoyed the tempura, kale crisps and gyoza, as always. (Note the kale crisp portions are massive, and big enough to share.) Good cocktails too and good service. A good night had by all.
