Could not fault any aspect of our meal. I took my Mum for a birthday Sunday lunch. We both commented on each aspect of the meal and how marvellous it was. I will certainly be visiting again when ever I can.

This was the first time we have been for lunch here, having previously been for dinner on a couple of occasions. What a wonderful experience. There are some very deft hands in the kitchen, on all sections, whose knowledge of flavours is exemplary. The service was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the dry wit of our male server (please forgive... More

We dined at the Gingerman in Brighton as part of a hen weekend for my friend. The service was absolutely brilliant, very attentive and very friendly - with the waiter even agreeing to wear a mask of my friend's fiancé to serve our champagne! The food was also amazing, especially the bread with truffle butter and lobster starter! Can't rate... More

We visited the Gingerman last night - we were a group of 7 of us hens and unlike other groups where you get limited choice, this was not the case. The variety was great and the food was fabulous a fantastic find if you want good quality food. The wine list had a real mix of good quality wines and... More

This is my first choice place in Brighton as it offers great food, great service and amazing value. The menu changes frequently reflecting seasonal foods. It has just enough choice, but encourages you to try things you might not have otherwise had. The wine list is varied and has some good value bottles. It is a small restaurant so has... More

This is the third (or maybe fourth) time we have visited the Gingerman and each time it has been excellent. We tend to go to Brighton for a few days every year and we always visit the Gingerman. The menu hasn't changed much and is centred upon British classic cooking - excellent fish and good quality meats. The price is... More

Gingerman has been around for a very long time now, and whilst other places come and attempt to be the new trendy place to go (I'm thinking Salt Rooms), they never match up to the quality and substance of this true well established fine dining restaurant. Gingerman is exceptional and remains unsurpassed. The wine list is superb and the atmosphere... More

We had lunch here on Saturday for our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and our waitress, Asha, was lovely. Really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. Unusual selections that work well. Ignore the location. Recommended for small groups or couples.
