Went with my mum for the first time having read the great reviews. Really lovely atmosphere, nice music and decor. Food very imaginative and loads of different flavours on the plate but they worked. Unusual ingredients, not enormous portions but. incredibly filling. Good value for the quality. One tiny improvement suggestion - service good but not clear who is overall... More

Yet again the Ginger never fails to impress, a lunch with old friends, beautifully presented food, every mouthful an obviously well thought out stunning taste sensation. Wine to perfectly complement without having to break the bank with exquisite service as we have come to expect from The Gingerman. Thanks again for a perfect dining experience :)

After writing previously glowing reviews we came to the gingerman for a birthday meal. I have previously said that the food is Michelin standard and perhaps this has gone to the chef's head. The menu now is overly fussy and to be honest it is far from clear what exactly the main component of the dish would be. The portion... More

This was a joint Mother's Day/80th birthday booking and I was a little apprehensive that it might not live up to my mother's exacting standards. It did. From the haddock with poached egg as a starter to the pork belly for main course to the tea souffle for dessert, the entire meal was cooked to perfection, matched by the excellent... More

From the Warm bread to the Delighful coffee it was really a pleasure to have eaten there. I highly recommend it. (If you look at people's reviews who slate restrauants... More

A nice family lunch. Prompt service and food excellently cooked. Puddings were a little small though, except the soufflé ! A little bit cramped for a large group of people, but use the space as best they can. Would be good for a romantic meal for two.

We came straight here for an early evening meal after spending a couple of hours on a cold Brighton pier waiting for the starling murmuration. We were not dressed at all for a romantic meal but the young staff didn't turn a hair, made sure we were seated well away from the door and didn't insist we surrender our coats... More

My boyfriend and I dined here at the beginning of March, we were really luckily to get a table as we only called up about 4 hours before! We weren't disappointed. We were only visiting Brighton for the weekend but wanted something really special for our final night away, so we tried the Gingerman. The restaurant was really close to... More

Visited this restaurant after reading reviews on trip advisor and was not disappointed. I won't bore you with the details of the food as if you are reading this, I'm sure you are more than capable of reading their menu and making your own mind up. What I will say is it is a small place, intimate and well designed.... More
