Really impressed with the food here, £37 for 3 courses I thought was good value. Service was very good and helped us choose from the menu. The portion sizes I thought were a good size to make you feel satisfied and not stuffed and bloated. Would go again if I was staying in Brighton.

We had heard from a friend that this was a place to try. We were seated at one of the window seats. This was a good thing as there were so many tables crammed into a small space. If we were given any other table we would of left. The menu was ok. The food was very tasty but I... More

Been there with my friend, she moved to Brighton not so long ago, but she already knows places of ''a must''. That's why we decided to try Gingerman, but we didn't get that promised "wow"... more of an "eh". The place does look nice, but the prices compared to the food? Don't think so.. still, we ordered something sounding really... More

My wife and I were staying in Brighton for our wedding anniversary, we wanted to go somewhere "a little special" without paying over the top prices and not feeling the need to dress up. A friend insisted that we'd find all we were looking for at the Gingerman and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is located on a square... More

When thinking of Brighton a lot of great qualities spring to mind. However, great food was not one of them until I went to the Gingerman! Great food, great atmosphere and very affordable when comparing to a similar quality meal in London. The menu has a range of delicious yet slightly quirky dishes which allows it to keep its classy... I visited this place with my friend for a quiet girls midweek dinner and it was great, the service was flawless and you were made to feel absolutely welcomed by the staff with none of the constant bothering you get by waiters in other places they knew the right time to approach you and when to leave you be to enjoy... My wife and I have an annual stay in Brighton for our wedding anniversary and have visited Gingerman three times now and each time is a delight. I am not a gastro and don't really like 'fancy food' but I have to admit defeat when it comes to their menu.. It is limited, but should cater for all tastes and... More

Best restaurant I have eaten at in Brighton to date. The menu always stretches me to try new things, things I may have been afraid to try at first. At the Gingerman I know I am in safe hands and always enjoy the course in full and now I want to try everything on the menu. So take a few... More

This is the third time we have been to this restaurant and we shall definitely go back. It is a small restaurant - 32 covers - but the atmosphere is always really nice - kind of like someone's dining room but not in a formal way. Their menu is not extensive but that is no criticism. The dishes they offer... More

When organizing a rare family get together traveling from Brigton, London and Brussels, Belgium it is great to make a successful choice. Gingerman "A la Carte menu" certainly answered the questions from the Belgians about English food not being that good. Excellent choice, delightful mix of flavours. Certainly must reserve beforehand. A lunch menu is also available a a very... More
