We had a snack lunch all very tasty and well presented, lovely choice of fresh teas served with a hot flask ..wonderful endless cups of hot tea. We had spied the pastries on the way in a vivid purple one caught our eye, mulled wine & pear...very nice albeit a little sweet. Friendly service.

This was a beautiful place to enjoy a cake, with great service, wonderful food and lovely decor. My only complaint would be that I took my mum for an afternoon tea as advertised in their window (£11 for a selection of cakes and tea). When I asked for this once we were seated, I was told that they don't do... More

Good coffee, wonderful macaroons, blissful gateaux, and the best - really the best - pastries. Great service, lovely decor, down to the last little detail, everything is attended to. And they do lovely open sandwiches and little salads and quiches. This is what French food ought to be, and served in comfort. Don't bother going to Paris, come to Julien... More

Colourful, exciting, eccentric and chic. Delicious fresh macaroons in the heart of Brighton. The cafe area in itself is nothing great but the quality of their pastries are superb. A bit pricey but is what you would expect when they don't compromise with quality.

If you like proper tea and amazing french pastisserie, this one is hard to beat. Great service and lovely understated decor. The only downsides is that is a small tearoom so larger groups may struggle to fit in and the background music is a bit irritating.

My sister and I came for lunch and it was superb. The Irish man was very attentive and advised us on how to even treat loose leafed tea, otherwise it goes all stewed!! (which they didn't even do at the ritz!) Just a lovely place to come, although rather expensive! £30 for two sandwiches two drinks and two desserts, Absolutely... More

My parents and I went here for lunch and cake when on a short break to Brighton. It was delicious! The tea (proper leaf tea, not a tea bag) was served in an elegant teapot and matching cups. I ordered the Parisian sandwich, which if would strongly recommend to anyone going here. My Mum had a choux pastry, filled with... More

We enjoyed a delightful post shopping treat of delectable mini gateaux all served and presented like works of art. In particular the piña colada and the raspberry & white chocolate tiramisu were scrumptious, and the charming mini pots of earl grey tea made the treat complete. Now that we have found you, we'll definitely be back for more!

I was very determined to try my first ever Macarons and even the rain couldn't stop me! It was well worth it! I have no comparison to others, but I can say they was very good, but not amazing, beside of the Framboise, which was 10/10! Rest of them nice and pleasant. Beside of them I had Peach & Caramel... I only stopped in here to pick up some marcaroons, although the cakes did look rather lovely. I have to say that I was a little disappointed by them! They were expensive even by marcaroon standards and I've had better ones else where that are cheaper. I would come back here, but only to try the cakes!
