Description: Our pub has a simple approach - to be the sort of pub we would love to go to ourselves. No loud music, no attitude, where everyone is welcome. Whether you live near by, work near by or have travelled from far afield you will be guaranteed a hearty 'hello' and welcomed to spend a few moments or the whole evening. Our only requirement of our guests is that they are nice and friendly. (Our licence requires one other thing, that you must be over 18 years of age). Why not enter a team into our weekly quiz every Thursday at 9 pm when large cash prizes are on offer.

Three of us went for their traditional Sunday Roast. We had beef and pork. The helpings were substantial and very tasty, washed down with a decent pint. Excellent selection of vegetables. Serving the gravy in a separate dish is a good idea as well. Certainly a treat and well worth repeating at such a good price.

Went to the Camelford with friends for dinner last night, and once again had excellent food at an amazing price per head. Starter was so big it could have been main, and after 2 courses we were all full to bursting. Would recomend pub most highly for friendly staff, good prices ( for Brighton) and good pub grub.

I found this pub rated on Trip Advisor and due to it being near our B&B decided to go for our dinner. The road the pub is situated on is soooo cute surrounded by quaint houses and the pub looked warm and welcoming. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the bar tender who was really friendly... Nice bar good food but can be quite expensive. Staff were friendly I found the real ales a little on the high side although the food is very tasty.

A right little gem - lovely decor, a refreshing attention to detail and possibly amongst the best, unpretentious, delicious food in Brighton. Try everything from ham, egg and chip (proper ham off the bone) to rice pudding with home made jam. Really nice staff and altogether a jolly nice place to have lunch.

The staff are really friendly & helpful, the beer not overpriced and the food looked delicious. Loved the Bedouin tent effect round the back.

The menu list may look simple but the roasts served in this traditional and atmospheric pub in the heart of Kemptown are truly excellent. The Camelford Arms offers a wide range of food and the friendly staff is happy to assist you in making a choice when you have any dietary requirements. The portions are huge and of great value.... I have now visited the Camelford Arms for Sunday lunch twice. Both times it had been faultless. A beautiful pub with excellent service. The portions are large and the food quality superb. Menu perfect and my favourite feature- gravy comes separately on the side. Just make sure you are hungry. Great value and a lovely experience.

We already visited this pub last year and we came back twice this year. This is a comfy traditional pub where everybody, gay and straight, can relax and feel at ease. The deal-proposed on mon., tue. and wed. nights is an absolute bargain (9,95 GBP for a gigantic plate of home-made food and a pint of anything) andis really worth... More
