Description: The Blue Man is a relaxed and informal Cafe-Bar with North African flavour. You can pop in for coffee (best in town!), Amazing selection of tea, a lovely wine list or a bit of food if you're hungry. We're chilled and informal and will make you feel very welcome. In the evening we host live events, acoustic nights, dancing, DJs and parties. Pop downstairs and feel a world away from the hustle and bustle in a haven that's a home away from home...

This small restaurant is well situated half way between the sea front and the station. We went there on the recommendation of a froend who lives in Brighton and were very glad we did. We were made very welcome by the mainly young/student? staff . The atmosphere is very relaxed , funky. Food is mainly Morrocan , I believe the... More

Due to this bar being conveniently situated between my flat and Brighton station I've popped in several times over the last few years for drinks. As mentioned in other reviews there really is nowhere like this decor wise in Brighton and the staff have always been fantastically friendly and knowledgable. I've been meaning to try out the food here for... More

I am surprised that a number of previous reviewers review this as a restaurant rather than perhaps a bar with food although my view may have been coloured by the time of day when we visited the Blue Man. I and a colleague happened across this gem of an establishment late one Friday evening with its softly lit interior beckoning... More

Everything here is organic and free range - they make great coffee and the interior is beautifully designed in a moroccan comfy style. I came here in the evening to listen to some live music downstairs in the basement - it is quite small so it felt private and the atmosphere was lively and fun - great for a chilled... More

We visited The Blue Man for lunch back in October & I must apologise for the length of time it’s taken me to write a review. The décor is a fantastic mix of eclectic very colourful North African. We discussed the menu with the waitress & decided on the Kemia (Tapas) plate which is a choice of smaller sized portions... More

Only a small place on the main drag to/from the station, part North African, part tapas. We called in early to book for the evening, they said they don’t do bookings but they would make an exception for us! Maybe they thought we were way over the usual age range of students and young professionals! Sure enough that evening the... More

Ate here Monday evening whilst in Brighton for a conference. There were 8 of us. The restaurant is quite small, so we were perhaps lucky to get in at short notice, but it was a Monday. Really nice relaxed atmosphere. Took up the waitresses suggestion of mixed platters to all share, and ended up ordering 6 in total, which was... More

We only had time to stop in for a tea and a beer, but it made us want to come back to this cafe/restaurant again in the near future. It was very atmospheric, great choice of tea, coffee and things stronger.....and just a really nice, laid back friendly place to stop off.
