The Blue Man is a relaxed and informal Cafe-Bar with North African flavour. You can pop in for coffee (best in town!), Amazing selection of tea, a lovely wine list or a bit of food if you're hungry. We're chilled and informal and will make you feel very welcome. In the evening we host live events, acoustic nights, dancing, DJs and parties. Pop downstairs and feel a world away from the hustle and bustle in a haven that's a home away from home...

Lovely ambience and staff are nice

I come here for drinks after work and occasionally some lunch. The bar has a decent selection of drinks (including the 'surge' Guiness out of a can which I prefer) and the food and nibbles are tasty. The staff are a lively, polite and helpful bunch. The quirky downstairs area is what I love most... read more

Went to see a friend's children's show part of Brighton Fringe. Very surprised to find a unique and quirky gem with friendly staff and great food. Don't think there's anywhere else like it in Brighton. Will definitely return.

We went as part of a large group and even though we took up most of the top bar on a busy Saturday, the staff couldn't do enough to help us and we never felt rushed. We had several sharing plates which were all delicious. When we had finished some of the party were eying up some other items on... More

A very pleasant change from what we usually do around Brighton. Having not planned to eat out on a Saturday evening during the festival we were unable to get a table at any of our usual haunts but these guys weren't taking bookings and suggested we just rock up and take our chances. We did just that and got the... More

Relaxing, charming and excellent food. The wait is worth it,yummy. We had a lovely leisurely drink and some food then down stars for some great comedy that was only a fiver each. Perfect night.

We found this wonderful little gem quite by accident just recently. Fantastic cosy atmosphere, great coffee, delicious tapas and right in the heart of Brighton. We can't believe we found it just as we are leaving Brighton (having lived here for years). Charming friendly staff with lots of interesting bands and a great friendly vibe about the place. And you... More

My favourite atmosphere. Plenty of ladies here, very easy on the eye and friendly. Dropped in for a late lunch, not bad at all. Sussed it as N. African, was a bit slower to realise it is Algerian despite the numerous clues! Yep, pretty good scran, fresh and authentic. Fine selection if bottled beverages and wines, traditional tea on offer.... More

This place has a great soul and plays some decent music. Defo worth a visit! Not eaten here but drinks were good, we drunk wine. Reasonable price. Good times!

Stopped here for a quick drink on the way to the station. Although there are no real ales on draught, there is a varied choice of bottled ales and everything else you could think of including some very refreshing mint tea! There is an interesting bar in the basement too. Looking forward to coming back to try the food.

But in a very nice way... Be daring, delve beneath the surface - you will not be disappointed, I'm sure. Happiness is here. Enjoy!
