I was asked to join friends there on Thursday 16.05.13 to celebrate a friend's birthday at 18.00hrs. I have dietary requirements so I visited Cote 14.05.13 days before to check that I could eat from the 'special deal' menu which I could and the waiter was attentive and he offered me a menu card to take with me which I... We went there before a concert and for 995£ you get a really competent (not amazing) meal. You do need to book for these particularly as it gets really full early on. I had a nice prawn salad with loads of prawns and then a steak for a 2£supplement. Still good value and a very tasty French Sauvignon blanc. Would... More

Located in the center of Brighton, on Church street across from The Dome. Very cozy and very welcoming. Friendly staff. Must say it was experience of amazing food and service. They seems can read your mind. Reservations highly recommended as it could get very busy. Free wifi for customers. No parking.

Cote describes its food as simply basic French cooking. Well if simply basic cooking is this good then life is just heaven. Went with my wife for a late lunch and had a wonderful meal. The staff were so attentive and ensured that we we looked after even though it was extremely busy. Thank you for a fabulous lunch and... More

The restaurant was busy with pre show diners when we arrived and they was a happy buzz of chatter, the staff were wellcoming and we were seated and given menus. The waitress recommended a bread to start while our meal was prepared and our drinks and the bread were served very quickly and we relaxed and enjoyed the experience. I... More

Great little restaurant which would be ideal for a big get together. Prawn gratin starter was fab and my sole meunière main course was delicious. Ordered a side of creamed spinach which was rank (sorry) - was too creamy and sickly. My husband ordered the grilled chicken with garlic butter for main course but unfortunately he thought it was tasteless.... More

As we live near Brighton, we always use Cote for a pre-theatre meal. Although on our last visit, which was a bank holiday, at 6pm, they were out of a mains, a starter and Merlot, it is always handled very well by the friendly staff and although it was disappointing that our first choices were off the menu, what we...
