A very pleasant cafe situated in the Pavilion gardens. The tea was good, my sandwich was hearty and the service friendly. The panoramic view of the Pavilion was breathtaking.

Not quite sure what the plastic privet elephant outside is about but the little cafe was a welcome find on a cold and windy day. Had a very good decaf coffee and a hot chocolate - £4.50 for the two, very good for Brighton prices. Had intended to have a slice of cake but they looked a little dry under... More

Thank you for your review. The green Elephant was the smallest of thirteen that were part of a charity tour around the country ending in the Pavilion Gardens to raise awareness of conservation issues and raise money for Elephant corridors in Africa see http://www.mybrightonandhove.org.uk/page_id__9229_path__0p224p1271p1289p1289p1289p476p1531p.aspx We purchased it to raise money for the Pavilion Gardens. The cafe has a somewhat iconic status amongst Brightonians and there was a real backlash when the council suggested it would be closed when the Pavilion Gardens was redeveloped. I'm not sure what happened but it looks like the cafe will be staying. The food isn't going to set the world alight but on a sunny day in Brighton it's... More

The Pavilion Gardens Café has been serving light lunches and teas for many years. Well worth a visit on a sunny day.

The Pavilion Gardens Cafe is wonderfully located in the centre of Brighton; however, as it is opposite the Royal Pavilion, overlooking its gardens, you are under the impression that you are in the countryside. We had filter coffee and tried a couple of the baguettes and they were delicious (especially the one with cranberry and brie). If I had to... More

Always a pleasure to hold the Annual Max Miller Charity Garden Party and look after such nice guests. Glad you enjoyed the food and hospitality and will pass on your thanks to our great team. Understand we raised well over £3000 for the new Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre - such a good cause. More

We met a friend here, a regular customer. He had praised the cafe so much that we had to meet up with him there! We were not disappointed. Although it was very busy, there was lots of seating and tables were cleared very quickly. Tea, coffee, juice, sandwiches and rock cakes were all excellent. A lovely cafe to pass the... More

A lively and busy cafe in the grounds of the Brighton Pavilion. The only downside is the constant presence of pigeons who are also keen to nibble at some of their delicious cakes.

This is situated in a pleasant, shady part of Pavilion Gardens. It is always very popular and serves very good coffee. A nice spot to sit and look at the great view of the Pavilion and the tourists and locals enjoying the great outdoors.
