Laid back little cafe.

Seemingly away from the main drag and tripper feed this was a relaxed little place to draw breath after a slow motion trail found the pavillion. Cosy eclectic interior with friendly counter staff and a particularly good piece of ginger cake. Three hot drinks, the cake and a panino slit in half... read more

Everything here is so out there. Each flyer, posted, trinket hanging from the ceiling, even the manikin arm holding the Order here sign cracked me up. It's not for the snobby or the conservative that's for sure. But if you're open for some character, stimulation, laughs, then I recommend checking this place out. If you're a coffee snob then definitely... More

We found this coffee shop as we milled around the Lanes and around. Great fun and really eclectic decor, with tongue firmly in cheek. Staff were great. Great venue as an alternative to a boozer, when only a coffee will do.

A very unusual coffee shop , and a delight to visit. The walls and ceilings are covered with very strange items ! Go and see for yourself ! The food is freshly cooked, and good quality-

I like Marwoods. I like the decor. I like the coffee. What I do not like is the miserable, rude bearded guy on the till. Hence the two stars. Brighton is full of quirky coffee shops so I ask myself why should I frequent a place where one member of staff is capable of ruining what is a really nice... More

Been there twice (2nd time today) and can confirm it's a good option for coffee in the Lanes. Strange decoration, but quite fun. The boy at the till today was not in his best mood, but at least he wasn't rude, so I will definitely come back. Very good macchiato.

Marwoods is Brighton, if Brighton had all the cute & quirky sucked out of it. The best thing it has going for it is it's pretentious "I'm an art student, look at me! Ask me what it means!" decor (and this is coming from an art student, just fyi). Apparently this place used to be great, it's hard to imagine... More

This is one of the quirkiest, most interesting and character rich coffee shops I've ever visited. With old Mac computers as chairs to some pretty unique art, it's a great place to just sit and look around. Unfortunately, it's still a coffee shop, and my expensive coffee wasn't that good. For the price, and the effort that went into the... More

If you get the Marwood reference you will love this coffee house. If like us you are repulsed by the usual corporate coffee chains and have a sense of humour you will enjoy a visit here. We love it, a place to relax, sup tea and eat fine cake - try the lemon & poppy seed cake!

Quirky little cafe shop. Lovely coffee and lovely drinks with cakes and sandwiches for snacks. Always with a good book having coffee in the cafe. Worth the visit.
