Great coffee / cake

Recently popped in here for a coffee and loved the place. This place is great for a quick pit stop coffee is great and the brownies are spot on. The decor of the place is fascinating - if you try and play I spy in this place you would have a nightmare. Great place and laid back attitude!!!

Marwoods just embodies the wonderful weirdness and spirit of Brighton. It was a first time visit for a group of friends on holiday and we were absolutely intrigued by the quirkiness of the decor. My personal favourite is Jack Nicholson's 'Here's Johnny' head coming through a wooden door! There is just so much to look at. Plus, great tea, coffee... More

Great place full of weird and quirky bits & bobs. The owners are laid back and friendly. Coffee is the real deal (Espresso is SHORT) and the home-backed cakes just delicious. A pleasant surprise for those who want something a little different to the traditional touristic places.

I don't want 'quirky'. I want clean. They recently scored 1 out of 5 for hygiene so I will not return.

Love the coffee in this crazy café. Insanely Brighton with it's quirky mix of great coffee, food and cakes and off the wall decor - sit on an old CPU in the guise of a stool for example. The garden at the back is quite a suntrap and perfect for whiling away some time away from the bustle of The... More

Everything here is so out there. Each flyer, posted, trinket hanging from the ceiling, even the manikin arm holding the Order here sign cracked me up. It's not for the snobby or the conservative that's for sure. But if you're open for some character, stimulation, laughs, then I recommend checking this place out. If you're a coffee snob then definitely... More

We found this coffee shop as we milled around the Lanes and around. Great fun and really eclectic decor, with tongue firmly in cheek. Staff were great. Great venue as an alternative to a boozer, when only a coffee will do.

Seemingly away from the main drag and tripper feed this was a relaxed little place to draw breath after a slow motion trail found the pavillion. Cosy eclectic interior with friendly counter staff and a particularly good piece of ginger cake. Three hot drinks, the cake and a panino slit in half £15.05
