Still has it!

So they've upgraded the seating again making it a bit smaller and tighter to navigate, but there's still the window seats, definitely the best place to sit. The quirky stools are comfortable and the plus point is the great view that you get for people watching. The atmosphere is great as ever and... read more

My partner and I are both visually impaired so we sat down looking blind and hoping for some guidance - thankfully this came from someone on another table who advised that orders were placed at the bar. Made the usual Sunday morning cooked breakfast request - my partners order was correct, mine wasn't. Gave my sausage away as it wasn't... More

Have been coming here for years Feels a bit more about the community than just profit. Great coffee and those fab Portugese custard tarts to have with it. Good snack / light meal menu - mostly veggie but with a meat breakfast option. Bit disappointed with the tacky new faux wood tables but still love the place.

This place is rather cute. It has a wide range of food, cake and drinks on offer. I only had some tea, but service was lovely and will definitely come back here again!

As I know the Madhatter cafe for long time I would say that the new concept of the place and the efforts made are in good way.. Nice touch of the decor with the right theme of Alice in wonderland , antique stuff, introducing meat on the menu which gives more choice of food, very friendly staff and nice vibe.... More

One of the nicest independent coffee shops I've had the pleasure of visiting in recent times. The better half and I sat here on a Sunday morning and watched the world go by. I can't say that our time sat on the pavement space outside wasn't entertaining, but the highlight of our visit was certainly the coffee. Very well made,... More

One of the best in an area crowded with good cafés. Excellent coffee (try the double macchiato), great cakes and pastries, friendly staff who remember you. Lives up to its name by attracting an interesting and slightly eccentric clientele.

I have been coming to the Mad Hatter for about 12 years. The menu is great and the specials are especially good value. It is great for a casual lunch. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan choices (everything is meat free although they do serve fish). I am sure I will coming here for many years to come.

A recent visit to my local Mad Hatter cafe was a very pleasant experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I had no issues with the service. Food (the falafel wrap) was tasty and affordable, and I'll certainly be going back. I also really love that this cafe has a suspended coffee scheme, where you can buy someone less... More

Went here for breakfast (one full English one scrambled eggs). Food came quickly and was really good quality. Loved having a bagel instead of toast. Milkshakes were thick and tasty.
