I have been coming to the Mad Hatter for about 12 years. The menu is great and the specials are especially good value. It is great for a casual lunch. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan choices (everything is meat free although they do serve fish). I am sure I will coming here for many years to come.

A recent visit to my local Mad Hatter cafe was a very pleasant experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I had no issues with the service. Food (the falafel wrap) was tasty and affordable, and I'll certainly be going back. I also really love that this cafe has a suspended coffee scheme, where you can buy someone less... More

Went here for breakfast (one full English one scrambled eggs). Food came quickly and was really good quality. Loved having a bagel instead of toast. Milkshakes were thick and tasty.

This is the first review on TripAdvisor that I've had to really, really puzzle over. I've been going here since 2006, and pretty frequently. I have to say that I can relate to the reviewers on here who love the place, as well as those who don't. The food is almost always fantastic. The regular chef (or one of them)... More

We've been here several times for coffee or tea and yesterday decided to try the food. What can I say? It was lovely...we ordered three things to take away: a roasted mediterranean vegetable panini (gorgeous, lots of flavour, nice bit of oil and fresh basil leaves), a summer vegetable frittata (red peppers, onions, aubergines, potatoes) and a falafel wrap with... We didn't try any food, but my husband and I stopped by for a cup of tea and a milkshake. Nice drinks, friendly staff, good atmosphere.

Have eaten here several time on our visits to Brighton, good food along with a good veggie menu. Real good coffees and a nice chilled atmosphere making it a great place to visit-one of my favorites! worth a visit!

Just a quick pop in for a coffee with family and found it lovely. The menu was beautifully illustrated with Lewis carrol references, as you'd expect, and the green tea cake we all shared went down a treat.

The service was very poor. The food was expensive and poor quality. I ordered two sausage sandwiches which consisted of not very tasty veggie sausages between some cheap white bread and cost me £13! Seriously don't bother.

This place has a nice chilled atmosphere, the food was nice and resonably priced. However, it took us a while to order as the girl behind the food counter didn't have a clue what any of the 6 dishes were. With something that clearly looked like it had a lot of peas she was quite persistent in telling me it... More
