I frequently go to cafe's similar places for business meetings or catch ups with friends, but I am one of those weird people that doesn't like coffee. Normally that means getting a coke and sitting on uncomfortable chairs, however this place is so different. I love going here, they have really nice non-coffee drinks and the food they offer is... Whenever I'm in Brighton or Hove I try and get to a Small Batch Coffee Company outlet for a flat white in the morning - superb coffee and really starts my day off well :)

I've been past small batch coffee on nights out with friends and finally went in on Saturday morning...so glad I did!! Me and my friend were looking to gab a coffee out of the main high street and manage to grab a couple of chairs in here. I had a cappuccino to have in, which was a really generous size... More

We went to the coffee house in Western Road Brighton on the corner of Norfolk Square at 9.30am Tuesday morning. There doesnt seem to be a listing for it yet. At first the staff, immediately in front of us, ignored us. We read the signs: Cappuccino, Americano, Espresso and Filter coffee predominated on the one leaning up against the fresh... More

They have really really good coffee. I stop there on my way to work. But, I have decided it is better to buy the beans and grind them up for coffee in the morning. I don't need attitude early in the morning; just a cuppa. I can do that part myself.

Large sitting area inside and out, freshly roasted coffee, I bought a bag too that had been roasted today (look carefully at the roasting dates, all others were July dated). Nice place, good coffee.

During our 4 night trip to Brighton, I had 5 coffees from small batch. Tried my usual flat white which was great, and an iced coffee as the weather was so hot. Usually iced coffees don't impress me but these guys got it spot on. Service was friendly each time, and the vibe is relaxed and friendly. The loyalty card... More

Stopped off here for coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the coffee and the staff. It feels a bit trendy but actually concentrates on the basics of quality of food and service. Not cheap but not disappointing either.

Nice coffee (had cappuccino and a latte) and the ones we visited in Brighton were clean and well run with good service. A change from the big chains and more of a homely feel to them and a more personal experience. The coffee we had wasn't strong but was refreshing. We had as a take out but would be happy... More

This is a great, Brighton institution. With a number of oulets throughout Brighton & Hove, it offers a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food (including gluten-free options) in quirky but pleasant surroundings. It's a great place to relax, work or just take five.
