Small Batch Coffee has been on my to go list for a few months now. I work at the speciality coffee shop Home Coffee in Portsmouth, and Small Batch roast our beans for us, and send us their amazing single origin beans! Went on a day trip to Brighton planning to go here for breakfast and a coffee... read more

My favourite coffee shop, however the cups are too small and the music is far far too loud most the time. There is no awareness around allergies and the cake range does not feature gluten free and or vegan. The staff are amazing and couldn't be better, so to summarise, turn the music down a little and change cake supplier... More

Hi there Thanks for writing about Small Batch. We appreciate all feedback, good and bad as it helps us address any issues that we might have. With regard to the issues you've flagged, we do try to keep on top of loud music. Sometimes our staff pump the volume a bit too much and I'll make sure to mention this... More

There are now Small Batch shops all over Brighton and Hove and I think there are many better places. The coffees are not always hot and can be drank in one go. Could be hotter. There is a loyalty card scheme in operation so many people go back because of that. I think their coffees are over priced.

This is a great, busy coffee shop in the centre of Brighton, near the theatres. The coffee is always great and it is now my favourite

Good coffee ruined by the atmosphere. Staff weren't very friendly and felt very stifled by the surroundings. Would visit again but get a coffee to take out!

I requested filter coffee with soya milk. Due to the busy atmosphere I could not hear the barista question which kind of coffee I had requested, her response was clearly, " you don't want a pint of soya milk, do you?!" When I had clarified my request she plonked the milk into the coffee without a smile. When I left... More

First time I had it I was simply blown away and I couldn't stop raving about it. However, having been a more frequent visitor since, I have realised that it does lack a bit of consistency. The last couple of times I went, the coffee wasn't as good. But I'm always impressed with the latte art, and on its day... More

Most known for its fantastic coffe, sadly I don't drink it so am probably missing out. But I come here for the great service, lovely staff and the nice setting. Always such a lovely atmosphere whether people are meeting for business, catch ups or just a solo lunch break, I've always loved it. I took my Aussie pal visiting Brighton... More

Great coffee, helpful and friendly staff even early in the morning. A superb selection of coffees and pastries to start the day. The macchiato was superb. What more could you ask for? Great work thank you!

If you're ever considering going to the Starbucks at the top of the same road, PLEASE STOP RIGHT THERE. Continue down the road for just a minute and find yourself at a true tea and coffee haven with beautiful cakes and pastries. Honestly some of the smoothest, richest and most full flavoured coffee I have ever tasted in my entire... More
