The place is great

As three brothers and their wives having a get together at the end of year we came here as I had been before and my brothers had not. The mix of food covered all our tastes as some did not eat meat. The starter were shared platters and were plenty for all. The main were tasty and well cooked and... read more

If you're looking for somewhere a little different to have a relaxed bite to eat it is the perfect place and couldn't recommend it enough. Ive been in the hospitality industry for 8 years now, and I eat out a lot, but I don't often write a trip advisor review. I felt it was necessary on this occasion. Although the... More

Last night me and a friend tried the new menu, I am so impressed!!! My friend being a huge meat fan and me a strict vegetarian we are hard to please when eating out together!!! I had the falafel which was delicious! And I also tired the veggie burger, I was pretty amazed that even the bread is made on... More

Unpretentious with lots of style and character, this is a real little gem in the back streets of the Brighton Lanes, just off the seafront. Friendly staff, good music, great food.

This is my favorite pub anytime. Great service, great staff, great food (specially you should try vegan food) and extremely pleasant and cozy environment. Its a little pub, so you may struggle to find a chair, but its so much fun even outside. Ask for some interesting ghost stories and it will double your thrill :)

Service was good, food was lovely and good value. The only negative is the stairs, they are treacherous, wouldn't want to go up and down after a few drinks.

I had anticipated going to the Northern Lights for a while and was not disappointed when I finally went. Although the bar gets very busy it was still an enjoyable experience. The flavoured vodkas are lovely and I would definitely recommend them; quite fairly priced too. The Big Lebowski was playing in the upstairs area, and it was a relaxed... More

A friend suggested meeting here, I wasn't keen at first as thought it might be a theme pub, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's small and friendly, and the barman was very helpful, giving us info on their flavoured vodkas etc. We didn't eat in here as had already eaten, but the food looked lovely, and the people at the... Having been recommended this bar/restaurant by a friend who lives in Brighton, I booked a table for 11 on Saturday evening (which was Halloween). Despite it being very busy that night, the staff regularly checked up on our table, recommended us food/drinks and were super friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks arrived promptly and were delicious and authentic, we... More

So we arrived before alot of other people did on the Saturday night and ordered our food. The starters and mains came out together so we sent it back and this was after about an hours wait. Starters OK but one of them cold so not that great. The person who served us was a barman and did not have... More
