This is my secret retreat – so don’t tell everybody!

I like a proper cup of tea - and Talk of Tea knows how to do it properly. A vast selection of quality loose leaf teas are offered, not to mention Small Batch coffee if you prefer. I had my favourite brew; a pot of Earl Grey, with a perfect slice of homemade cake from a small daily selection... read more

Enjoyed our pre booked tea - unfortunately a few errors re the booking even though we booked by email but Sarah ( the waitress) could not have done more to rectify these errors- on her first day too! Garden area very cute and relaxing. It is very individually decorated and very close to main shopping street but tucked away! Loads... More

An unusual nook just off Brighton's main shopping street. Uplifting orange decor and books to browse while you escape the city bustle as if in your own sitting room . An amazing menu of speciality loose-leaf teas, my own favourite being the Rose Congou black tea, and some delicious home-made cakes and sponges. All very relaxing and moderately priced.

Reading reviews I was inspired to try afternoon tea here during a visit to Brighton, I rang and booked a table but when I arrived there was no recognition of my booking. The service was very slow. Although it was not busy, the young lady was clearly out of her depth. They have a wonderful choice of tea. But the... More

Went here with my boyfriend and aunt and had some tea and scones, it was a nice experience. The armchairs are comfy and the scones were nice and warm with a decent portion of jam and clotted cream.

A charming Tea Room with real character, serving a wide selection of Tea, cake and sandwiches at excellent value. Everything was well present and the customer service was excellent. We will be returning when we come back to Brighton.

I booked Talk of Tea for afternoon tea with my mum and daughter. The selection of teas were amazing and the hot chocolate was delicious. It was great thatyou could pick your sandwiches and choice of homemade cake. The owner, Tom, was very hospitable and I will definitely be coming back again :)

I went there. I'm going back. Why? Because it was simply a hidden gem between Brighton and Hove. It's a struggle to find first time round but it is definitely worth it. Pricing? Is very reasonable. I've had a sandwich as I felt peckish but it did not disappoint. They even ask what bread you want. I had a fruit... More

Look up online for a good tearoom in Brighton and you'll be lead here (with luck). We went just before lunch on a Friday to this cozy little lounge like tearoom with a lovely garden tucked away from the high street. I opted for the cream tea and friends had the hot chocolate and a Christmas smelling tea and scones,... More

A wonderful afternoon treat!!! This cute tea room is on a quiet street and is small, but that adds to the character. They had so many different teas and food options and all reasonably priced. I took my sister here for her birthday and she loved it. Do not miss this if you love your tea and cake!
