Lovely Experience

A charming Tea Room with real character, serving a wide selection of Tea, cake and sandwiches at excellent value. Everything was well present and the customer service was excellent. We will be returning when we come back to Brighton.

I booked Talk of Tea for afternoon tea with my mum and daughter. The selection of teas were amazing and the hot chocolate was delicious. It was great thatyou could pick your sandwiches and choice of homemade cake. The owner, Tom, was very hospitable and I will definitely be coming back again :)

I went there. I'm going back. Why? Because it was simply a hidden gem between Brighton and Hove. It's a struggle to find first time round but it is definitely worth it. Pricing? Is very reasonable. I've had a sandwich as I felt peckish but it did not disappoint. They even ask what bread you want. I had a fruit... More

Look up online for a good tearoom in Brighton and you'll be lead here (with luck). We went just before lunch on a Friday to this cozy little lounge like tearoom with a lovely garden tucked away from the high street. I opted for the cream tea and friends had the hot chocolate and a Christmas smelling tea and scones,... More

A wonderful afternoon treat!!! This cute tea room is on a quiet street and is small, but that adds to the character. They had so many different teas and food options and all reasonably priced. I took my sister here for her birthday and she loved it. Do not miss this if you love your tea and cake!

My daughter saw this hidden gem on your Tripadvisor site and we decided to give it a try. We were very delighted with what we found. We would never have discovered this hidden gem on our own as it is in a street just off of Western Road. The setting was comfy and indeed like being in someone's home and... More

My partner and I stumbled upon this gem of tranquility , whilst negotiating out way up this hill, we were really impressed with our wellcomg and friendly host Kati, who was happy to assist us in choosing a fine tea ,accompanied by homemade scone/ cream tea. We found the environment , warm and comfortable, with a varied range of reading... More

I went in there with my friend and sat down. There was a family of three sitting on one table and a slightly deranged woman talking to the waitress about loose tea and what the smells are and what types there are. She then wanted the waitress to write down the type of tea she had just sold her which... More

Dear Visitor, I am so sorry to hear about you experience in our Teashop and to be honest I am shocked. I was living in Hove/Brighton for 2 years and this quirky cafe was one of my favourites. I have a confession- I don't like coffee at all; but I do love tea. I love tea in cups and saucers with the milk on the side. I love flavoured teas and 2nd flush teas. In fact having a tea menu is... More

Not sure where Daisy O is coming from but Talk of Tea is fun, quirky, yummy and the service is excellent! The variety of teas that they stock is amazing and their cakes are delicious! The outside area is a small, but like many places in Brighton they work with the space they have. It is not "yucky" at all!... More
