I visited with my 2 year old daughter a few weeks ago. I struggled in with my buggy and bags of shopping. The waitress just watched me - no offer to help. Had to then wait a further 15 mins just to get a menu and order some drinks. We only ordered tea and toast and even that came out... More

I went to Cornels last Saturday with a couple of mates. When we entered one of the waitresses sneezed in her hand then tried to shake mine as she have me the menu. When I went to use the toilet there were human fecies on the floor. The chef who worked there was also in the toilets on the phone... More

Veryyy close to where we live...so we thought it would be convenient for a brunch on a lazy day though our previous experiences there have not been amazing either. . This time however, I am really ticked off. When we entered, there was only one group of 3 on a large table and a single guy on one of the... More

Food wasnt as expected, was quite average if not below. Presentation was not attractive. although heard theres new management now so will give this place another try. Was a nice atmosphere in summer as i was sat outside. This time i think i will give the inside a try.

My girlfriend and I were walking through Kemptown to find somewhere for brunch and this place stood out as it looked very pleasant. We went in and were immediately seated. Then the wait for any service began. There were 2 women serving, one was busy and obviously working hard, the other was doing absolutely nothing apart from using her phone... More

We had visited this establishment a few weeks earlier for a coffee and seemed impressed by the menu. We sadly decided to go for a meal last Saturday. We should have realised when we walked into a completely empty ( and cold) restaurant and just walked out. We sadly didn't!! We ordered a couple of burgers a beer and a... More

What was Cornell's has recently changed hands and is now called the Corner Cafe. It appears to have exactly the same menu, decor, etc. but the service certainly was top notch when we were just there recently (13th Oct 2013). Reading other comments about the number of staff, all I can say is that, if anything, they had too many... More

We live in Brighton and we've been stupid enough to visit here twice, the service was appalling and unbearable! It took 45mins to receive our drinks order which came 10 mins after the food arrived (four orange juices and a cocoa). If you ever want to know what it feels like to be on a sinking ship go to Cornel's,... More

Popped in here for afternoon drinks and a couple of really good paninis a couple of weeks ago. The aTmosphere was lovely and friendly and the prices reasonable. The only slight problem was that the bill never arrived when we asked for it so had to go and chase it.

The hamburgers are like a slice of dry overproccesed meatloaf. I would not call it a burger. Three people in the kitchen one worse then other. Young man twirling his hair and touching food, older man doing nothing and third man on his cell phone. Save you time, money and stomach and find a better place.
