Popular and authentic

It was a lovely meal but I feel it was just a tad overpriced for the quantity. £10 or so for a small plate of chicken and rice isn't really fair. I lived in middle east for awhile and love Lebanese cuisine. Definitely worth a go. Its popular and quite central, so please be aware that drop in is... read more

I've never had Lebanese food before, so I've nothing to compare it with. The restaurant was busy but had a good atmosphere. When I first got my meal I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of rice it came with, way too much for me. I thought the food was a bit bland (chicken badomjan) but with the addition... More

So I took the kids on or normal Wednesday night out! Iv had take out here before and I have to say really enjoyed it! This time we opted to eat in! And iv got to say I'm not that impressed. Pretty basic kinda of place which is fine if the food is great! We had the most expensive meal... More

There were no flavour in any of our dishes. Just too plain and boring. The interior of the restaurant was nice and welcoming though. Inattentive service was also somewhat troublesome.

I have been visiting Kambi’s on and off for about a decade, and sky-high standards are the norm. Although it is quite a small place and things can get a bit cramped when it’s busy - which is often - eating out in Brighton doesn’t get much more consistent or pleasurable. Unfortunately I can’t offer any great insight if you’re... More

In an age where everything needs a twist it was nice to eat in this authentic BYO Lebanese cafe/restaurant . Full to the capacity and really buzzing it is a restaurant clearly loved by its punters. Humous was perfect smooth and oozing with olive oil, this is really the judge and jury. Kibbeh good as were the rest of the... More

We have been eating in Kambis for about 4 years now. It is always amazing, incredibly friendly staff and the food is delicious. It is without doubt THE BEST Lebanese restaurant in Brighton in fact even better than ones I have eaten in in London. It is very reasonably priced and you can bring your own alcohol if you want.... My gf Ordered the traditional dish 'Gaymeh', as had never tried it before. We weren't sure how it was supposed to taste, but became increasingly aware that something was very very wrong. Everything was drowned in Lemon juice. There must have been about half a bottle in the bowl of chicken and chickpeas. Even the chips they put on top... More
