I had some time to kill while waiting to pick up my daughter from a party and thought I would give it a go - even though tapas is better shared. The place is small, cramped even, wooden tables and low stools with bare bricks and wine bottles adorning the walls. A slightly incongruous drinks fridge sits in one corner,... More

Small place, good service, excellent tapas. It's a great place to take a break in your shopping and browsing, and (glory be), they bring you water without waiting to be asked. We've tried their prawns with orange, frittate, chips, spinach/chickpeas, lamb, and all have been delicious. You have to wait a little, this being freshly-prepared tapas, and the dishes arrive... This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and most of the food was absolutely delicious. I would particularly recommend the dessert of custard cubes with cinnamon and ice cream. Sounds like a strange combination, but this was the best dessert I've had for a very long time. The tapas was delicious too, with the exception of the gambas al ajillo, which... More

This was our first visit as we usually use Casa don Carlos but thought we would change it up a little. The restaurant is small which we always consider a good thing. Good food and personalised service.NO! The poor waitress was on her own rushing around, we were offered a table quickly but then it was 15-20 minutes before we... More

This place is amazing, and such a well-kept secret I wasn't sure I wanted to boost its rating! Been a LOT of times now, get the duck, get the venison stew, get the goats cheese, get the spanish omelette and GET THE SHERRY!!!!! Very small place but has that casual Spanish atmosphere. If you go midweek, especially earlier in the... More

Great little restaurant & a great little find. Booking ahead is recommended. We choose meatballs, pork croquettes, Spanish sizzling sausages, potato braves, garlic chicken, bread & dips, & a very nice bottle of wine. I'd give the food 10/10. Good service, & fast service. The decor of the restaurant is rustic looking, but it adds to the appeal. Search carefully... More

We popped in to Solera whilst out shopping on a Saturday. Having ate at other Tapas places in Brighton, I was keen to see how this stacked up. We weren't disappointed. The Tapes was lovely and the Jug of Sangria was was smooth and fruity. Possibly the best Sangria I've ever had. A meal for two and a Jug of... More

I hadn't eaten at this restaurant for well over a year but it was a spur of the moment decision. We hadn't booked but were there just after 6, so on the promise that we'd be finished by 8pm, we took one of the booked tables. I would strongly recommend you do book though to avoid disappointment. Whilst there were... More
