Great coffee!

Just stopped in for a coffee to avoid the usual generic selection of coffee places. Cafe con leche was delicious and served in a lovely, friendly way. The tapas looked great and location is interesting and buzzing.

You always get friendly service, there's usually an authentic atmosphere and the house red wine is great. On our visit the tapas was patchy. Patatas bravas and pimentos padrones were good. The gambas ajillos were spoiled by overcooked cheap oil. The chorizo in red wine had been vaporised. The bread was tescos brown sliced. New chef needed.

Hi there...We would like to thank you for your positive comments on our staff. They work hard and well deserve an occasional round of applause... Now regarding the food, while we understand that taste is a purely a personal matter, there are a couple of comments of yours that are not quite accurate. The oil used for the Gambas al... More

We were looking for somewhere for a late(ish) dinner on a Tuesday night, walked past Solera and decided to go in for a meal. We had eaten there before a few times and it was ok, nothing overly special, chaotic service but nice atmosphere and lovely staff. When we walked in at 9pm we were told that the kitchen would... Hi there...I have read your post and feel obliged to apologize for what seems to have been an unpleasant experience. Nevertheless, I also feel obliged to mention a couple of things in our defense... While taste is definitely a personal manner, regarding the quality of the stiock used in the elaboration of our tapas, I'm afraid I need to point... More

Friendly characterful and friendly - service was good but several of the dishes something of a disappointment, over cooked, overly sweet and a touch overpriced. The bathroom is seriously substandard the wine was very good. A place of contrasts what was good was very good and what was poor was pretty poor.

This is my favourite small tapas bar in Brighton. The tapas are authentic and they sell good wines and sherry from the Cadiz region by the glass. This time, we only went for a couple of tapas and a glass of wine, and we were not disappointed. The female front of house is very friendly and efficient.

My husband & myself decided to try this tapas restaurant for lunch. Only 1 table of 2 was occupied so not busy but took ages for a menu to be given to us. We ordered 5 tapas dishes which were ok, nothing fabulous but acceptable. The waitress never came to check for more drinks or see if the food was... More

Hello there...I would need to apologize for not having responded earlier, as I hadn't seen this review. In all truth, I am quite shocked by what you state, as the usual is all cheers and goodwill towards the staff for their extremely friendly service. As it were, I am extremely surprised that you would have any kind of problem at... More

We had walked past this numerous times without noticing it was there. Looking for a quick bite to eat before a gig we were drawn to the rustic interior. It seemed to be a popular place to eat. The surroundings and food were both simple and authentic. We had a set tapas menu for 2. The food was delicious. The... More

We stopped of in this restaurant for lunch on a recent trip to Brighton. The restaurant is small and intimate with a good atmosphere. The Tapas was good and we enjoyed the meal, the only downside being that it was very busy and as a result service was a bit slow.

This is regular treat for us on a sunny Saturday. The tapas are tasty and authentic. The staff in this tiny informal family run restaurant love their food and will be glad to make their recommendations from a large range of sherries spanish wines and beers. A little pricey for the level of comfort but it's a unique place a... More
