Staying in Brighton for a short break and were recommended Solera by locals. Lovely, cosy atmosphere and authentic feel. We ordered the basic tapas selection for four comprising of eight dishes which incuded many of our favourites such as chorizo, tortilla, patatas bravas, calamares. Food was delicious, including the homemade chocolate mousse for pud! Only downside.......the tables are very small... More

This has always been my favourite Spanish restaurant in Brighton. It's never perfect but the food has always spoken for itself. Unfortunately and disappointingly it seems they are now going for smaller portions with higher prices, we paid £4.55 for a paltry 12 padron peppers. It never used to be so measly. I really love this restaurant and have had... More

We booked at the last minute, but weren't disappointed. They squeezed us in by the window which was perfect to watch the revellers go by! All our food arrived promptly and was delicious, especially the chicken, and the platter with cold meat and cheese to share. The staff were so busy but very friendly, and the cava was flowing! I'd... Have been to Solera several times and always enjoy sitting in the window drinking cava watching people pass in the lanes. Goats cheese is amazing and the barraquito coffee is fab! Fun lunchtime experience which I always look forward to.

Ate here recently and both of us were looking forward to it after reading the good reviews and the place always seems busy when walking past. We shared four tapas. 'Selection' of Spanish sausages was four pieces of chorizo and four pieces of what appeared to be like a black pudding, which was not pleasant at all. Meatballs - served... More

Unlike "that other gorgeous" tapas in the other lanes, this one was a complete disappointment. This was a second time there, first time was very good, however, this time it was the opposite. We had the Croquete de jamon, 4 small stubby things and a small dollop of Mayo. Also had venison stew which came on a cold plate and... More

I had a great meal with my wife a few days ago. Didn't know this restaurant existed until I read the reviews on trip advisor. Glad I made the decision to eat here. Lovely food especially the pork cheeks and goats cheese with honey. It is a rustic destination and I have to say some cushions on the stools may... More

All was tasty and enjoyable except I don't like my food presented for me to eat on a slate roof tile. It's not clever. I want a plate .the seating was hard wooden stools and my bum ached. A cushion would have been nice Also the toilet seat was broken and it needs attention in the toilet area in general... More

Visited today for the first time for a late Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. The setting is very rustic with scrubbed wooden tables, placed close together and low wooden stools. We sat at Vincent's table by the counter and away from the door as it was chilly. The service was welcoming, prompt and friendly. We did not reserve however... More

We met with a group of about 8 for a friend's birthday- what a great choice of venue! Warm welcome from hardworking staff who always had time to smile and explain menu. Food was stunning - meat and veggie dishes brilliant. Ideal for sharing and tasting! Lovely atmosphere, good wine by glass and (preferably) bottle! Highly recommended and booking essential... More
