good authentic tapas

We visited for lunch. The room is quite spartan but the staff were very friendly. Our food came promptly and we enjoyed all our dishes. Prices were reasonable for Brighton. Will return soon.

It wasn't them best tapas... It wasn't the worst! They shouldn't try and cram so many people in... It's too small Some of the food was over cooked. It's a fun place If the staff were more interesting it would be better

Stopped here for a light lunch. It was fairly quiet so we were served straight away. We were very happy with our selections (which we felt were very authentic in flavour) and the croquettas were delicious. Would certainly go back for lunch again.

Solera offered a very mixed experience. The positives - the food is good, authentic taste with a good selection on the menu too, as well as a really good selection of beers and wines. Food came pretty quickly after this so the kitchen is clearly working very well, the front of house is the issue. The setting and the restaurant... More

Excellent tapas, much better than anywhere else in town. It's pretty crowded and there never seem to be enough staff so there is sometimes a long wait for service and food,

We have been here before some three or so years ago and for a late lunch on a busy Saturday before Christmas we wanted little fuss and certainly we were treated well to their four people for £36 deal with a few extras as well. Ambience is fine but don't expected chic. Solid value is what you get. Aubergines were... More

Right in the centre of the Laines, the tapas here is fantastic and great value for money. Have the house red, it's delicious. We visited on a busy afternoon, the lady was waiting tables on her own, doing a fantastic job. Despite being so busy she was still more than happy to help us with suggestions of what to have.... This place is practically my second home ! Yes it is small and yes sometimes not all the tapas are available but for authenticity, genuine warmth of welcome, delicious food superb wines and sherries and the best hot chocolate in town, you cannot do better. There are other tapas places in Brighton but for me, Solera is the very best,... More

Small but perfectly formed restaurant in a great central location. A wide selcetion of authentic tapas cooked to order with a great drinks menu including a choice of sherries from bone dry to sweet. We had marinated olives, bread (with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip) followed by tortilla potato, baked aubergine with tomato and Manchego cheese and mixed fried... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a family friend and popped in on a Saturday lunch time to break up our shopping/drinking. The restaurant is small yet quaint with a real Spanish feel about it. We were seated and handed menus which were left with us for slightly too long before were asked to order but this was soon forgiven!... More
