It's a nice enough place to hangout. The staff was nice and friendly to us. We had arrived here in the morning from London, and decided to start our visit to Brighton by having coffee at this highly-recommended cafe. It's located not very far from the station - about 10 min walk. The coffee was good, and we sat there... More

It's a coffee shop in Brighton. Not hackney. The seats are low and oddly spaced. The staff just basically need to grow up. Trustafarian heavy.

Recommended by a colleague as the best coffee in Brighton I have to agree that this coffee place has everything a coffee place really needs to have. REALLY amazing coffee, very cool and uber friendly baristas, a nice place to sit and some very yummy cakes and pastries to choose from. My only hope is they choose to add something... More

Visited 33 on a weekday afternoon, as we had heard the coffee was amazing. There was only one staff member on that day, but we found his attitude was a major drawback to an otherwise decent cafe. He was arrogant, snobby and overall made us feel uncomfortable. Otherwise we really enjoyed the little table outside in the tiny courtyard and... More

We have been to 33 a number of times now and the service is faultless as as the cakes in my opinion. I also have the house blend beans at home. Unfortunately the last drinks were definitely below par and I'm now convinced it's about who does them. Well worth a visit though, as one of the top 5 coffee's... More

Gorgeous minimal decor, fantastic coffee and a perfect custard tart (who knew they could be so good?!). The chap who served us was polite and smiley and got our coffees over to us pronto. We are very glad we popped by and will be making 33 a regular stop off whenever we are nearby. It has everything that I want... More

If you like a place with not very comfortable seating and rickety benches, but does serve passable coffee and has friendly staff, then this could be the one for you.

Coffee 33 does the best coffee in Brighton in my opinion (better than Small Batch and Cafe Coho) and it has a more individual feel. Plus the sandwiches are incredible - lovely nutty rye bread (or ciabatta, focaccia etc) with interesting fillings like pastrami and gherkin, or goats cheese and grilled vegetables, or mozzarella and proscuitto. Nice cakes and soft... More
