Gorgeous minimal decor, fantastic coffee and a perfect custard tart (who knew they could be so good?!). The chap who served us was polite and smiley and got our coffees over to us pronto. We are very glad we popped by and will be making 33 a regular stop off whenever we are nearby. It has everything that I want... More

If you like a place with not very comfortable seating and rickety benches, but does serve passable coffee and has friendly staff, then this could be the one for you.

Coffee 33 does the best coffee in Brighton in my opinion (better than Small Batch and Cafe Coho) and it has a more individual feel. Plus the sandwiches are incredible - lovely nutty rye bread (or ciabatta, focaccia etc) with interesting fillings like pastrami and gherkin, or goats cheese and grilled vegetables, or mozzarella and proscuitto. Nice cakes and soft... More

My friend introduced me to this place and I have since been back several times. Lamentably, I have only had coffee there and not one of the delicious looking fresh pastries/panini on display but there is always a next time! The only disadvantage of this place is that there is not a huge amount of seating area but totally lovely... More

Quite comfortably the best coffee to be had in Brighton. Very friendly service and beats the local competition hands down. Other places serve 'good' coffee, this place does excellent.

my partner and I go there often for the best pastries in town. I cant really comment on the coffee as we're not avid coffee drinkers, so instead we get chai tea that they make on their own. Its a revelation. The staff is a very friendly and laid-back bunch of people and the atmosphere of the place is simple... More

This was a gem of a find to get away from the rain. Make sure you take the time to go here for coffee and even though we didn't have cake, they looked fabulous. Great tasting coffee, we had a piccolo and a flat white. Its only a shame we don't live closer.
