Description: Welcome to Recipease! This is a special project close to my heart. Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned pro, you can come here to ask questions, learn new skills, get inspiration and try some really fantastic food. We've worked hard to get beautiful ingredients into our dishes and you can see the guys in the kitchen making our meals to go, fresh every day. So come in, do a lesson, grab a great dinner to take home, or just nosy around, and get inspired. food was hot and well presented, but the Brighton shop does not have the same atmosphere as the Clapham one.

Ok, so the coffees aren't the gargantuan sizes we've come to expect from other high street names, but then that's not why we come, is it..? The cakes, buns, savouries, whatever the time of day are well-priced and much is generously portioned. Good atmosphere on a wet windy Saturday morning, alas the staff were hard pressed and struggling, not their... More

My boyfriend and I attended the 90 min knife skills course on 10 October. It was a small group - 4 of us and Alex was a brilliant host. He answered all our questions, made sure that everyone got what they wanted out of the workshop and we learned a lot. We even got to make our own stir fry... More

I'm sure you avid trip advisor people out there are wondering why I'm reviewing this place again, I always say credit where it's due! My partner and I, true to our word did not return here for months after my 'poor' review of this place, but found ourselves back there one day, armed with an invitation for a 'free' breakfast... I took my best friend to a "Mexican Street Food" afternoon for her birthday, if you have even the slightest interest in cooking for pleasure, you're assured to have a good time. The chef Alex explained the various cooking processes in a clear and engaging manner and was more than happy to jump in to provide pointers if you started... More

My 7-year old daughter and her best friend learned how to make, fill & cook pasta (‘Kids: filled pasta’). After talking about healthy eating, Alex the chef broke the lesson down into easy-to-understand sections. These involved making the fillings, making and shaping the dough, and cooking the pasta correctly. The setup (very sturdy furniture with gas hobs embedded into solid... More

We had a great evening at Recipease in Brighton creating a "Taste of Japan". Alex, or Chef, was a good teacher with lots of passion and was happy to answer questions (no matter how stupid). Good atmosphere and good fun.

Took my mum here as a birthday present. We had a great time. We were fortunate enough to only have two other people in the lesson, this meant we got a lot of 1 on 1 coaching from Alex the chef. Alex was friendly, helpful and really made our lesson a pleasant experience. I would recommend these classes to anyone... More

Was taught how to cook a steak by Alex who was great. What a great lesson; passionate and humour, informative and at the end of it I cooked a rib eye that was delicious. My wife bought me this for a birthday present and it was great. am looking forward to our next dinner party with confidence.
