Premium Vodka Nicely Served

Interesting looking place ,cool name. Called in after a meal. Had vodka lemonades, was offered a choice of Vodka nicely served with a squeeze of lime and just the right amount of ice.

We came across this bar by accident a couple of years ago on a visit to Brighton. We lucked into a Monday night with Flash Mob Jazz, absolutely fab night with fantastic music, wonderful dancing, great drinks and atmosphere. Whenever we visit Brighton now we make sure we're there for a Monday so we can repeat the experience, always great.... More

The Mesmerist has all the elements for a fabulous pub/restaurant: it has a great theme and wonderful location right in the heart of Brighton, but unfortunately it falls flat for two reasons. The food is mediocre and service can be almost rude at worst. It's a real shame that chips, the basis of British kitchen, are soggy and limp. Though... More

We were at the Mesmerist last night to celebrate a birthday. It didn't get off to a great start when the bar manager was unfriendly and un welcoming. She would not allow us to put up any decorations ( we sneaked a few in ) During the evening , without asking , she removed the boxes we had the birthday... More

Hi, Thank you for your feedback and my apology if you haven't enjoyed our service to the full. We are always very clear when taking bookings on our decoration policy, which is to keep it to the minimum, only a couple of balloons or banners. We did made the party leader aware of the restriction beforehand and agreed on the... More

We visited The Mesmerist with a hen-party earlier in the month. We were there as part of a craft-activity organised by a local company (Super&Super) who use the upstairs room. We had afternoon tea (15 of us - TONNES of sandwiches and delicious cakes) and they catered well for one lady who was gluten intolerant. There was a minor miscommunication... More

We came here for lunch on a Saturday as the place looked interesting and had some nice sounding specials on the board outside. Food wasn't bad and they offered a good variety of drinks. However, the service was terrible. We both ordered burgers which took 45 minutes to prepare. We were only given one meal and had to ask where... More

Walking through Brighton we stopped her for a beer and a snack and we didn't leave for 3 hours. Staff were friendly and chatty. Music was awesome. Good selection on the menu and the food we order was real tasty. It's on our list of places to re-visit when we are next back in Brighton.

If the Chef can't cook a Burger then he should give up. Went in on the afternoon of 21st Feb. Waited 45 minutes for food and our party of 5 all received their food 5 minutes apart. Mine came 25 minutes after the first lot of food came out and my burger was Raw - not pink by the way... More
