Description: A name which falls easily from the lips of just about any in the know...
A name which falls easily from the lips of just about any in the know Brighton resident, Koba Bar and Bistro is the perfect place for relaxed restaurant dining, lazy breakfasts and, quite simply, enjoying the chilled out Brighton lifestyle. Born from a previously smaller bar, the award winning Koba Bar and Bistro is now a thriving hive of dining and drinking activity, offering three coolly sophisticated bars, a spacious bistro and private dining rooms too, not to mention chichi pavement dining. Kobas modern but unpretentious look is beautifully understated, put together using tactile, warm materials and focusing as much on comfort as on style. Fully intending to make diners feel good, Kobas menus are very much influenced by the Mediterranean, offering a range of brunch, lunch and dinner options as well as ever changing blackboard specials. Equally as important is Kobaa drinks list. Known for its cocktails this great bar also provides the best of old and new world wines and a variety of beers.

Expensive bottled beer, but no other options

Went to a private party here. It was about five quid for a small bottle of beer. They had draft pints for around the same price, but they told us we weren't allowed to take them upstairs. firstly they said as it wouldn't count towards our hosts bill, then when we said our host didn't mind they made... read more

I had booked a Cocktail Making Masterclass for Saturday 18th July as part of my sisters hen party. I had confirmation that we were booked in with food pre-ordered. We turned up on the day to find the bar boarded up and when we asked over the road they said the bar had been closed a month or so for... More

Ok so it was last year we went on a couple of occasions and the service was very poor. Seemed like the staff hadn't had any training - my coffe slopped in saucer and not offered to be changed. My companion wanted mint tea - said they didn't have tea pots. Just didn't seem that bothered about their customers.

I booked "The Gods" bar within Koba Bar for a private function, and wanted to say how fantastic a venue it was. I was able to have access to the bar for the entire day of the party, which enabled me to decorate, set up and gave time for the DJ to come and put his equipment in place. We... More

We booked here for a private cocktail making class, and as luck would have it we were the only people here for the class on that day. So we had the cocktail bar and Mixologist all to ourselves (there were 4 of us). The class was unique and interesting as our Mixologist really seemed to know his stuff about all... More

I visited Koba on Saturday lunch with my son and a friend. Very friendly staff and the portions are huge, very tasty. A couple of things went wrong: the high chairs do not have the waist harness which consequently means that are not useful at all for very young children! I had to keep my little one on his pushchair... More

Have started to go to Koba for breakfast - especially if I want to catch up with friends. Good also to gain strength before tackling Waitrose! Menu is varied - from croissants or toast to the full English. It has a good atmosphere and warmth which is lacking in chains - and is larger than the coffee places. Really enjoy... More

It's a shame the service here was so terrible, as the cocktails were lovely. Staff insisted on table service but took ages to serve us. In the end we went and stood at the bar and served ourselves - even that took ages (had to point out glasses to the bar staff!). Would have understood if the bar had been... More

I have had cocktails (and food) here before so I knew they were good before i planned to do a cocktail making class for my birthday. When i enquired they were very responsive and they had a good plan for the 2 hour session which made me even more confident to book my party of 11 with them. We arrived... More
