Description: Having worked abroad for several years, husband and wife team Alan and Dawn Sperring returned to Brighton to find it in the grip of an enthusiasm for Indian food. They found the perfect spot in the cobbled lanes amongst the jewellery and antique shops of Meeting House Lane. The Chilli Pickle gradually but inexorably gained its reputation through word of mouth. As guests returned again and again, they knew that Brighton was ready for an authentic but distinctive experience of Indian cuisine. Gathering together an expert team of chefs with specialisms in a variety of Indian regional cuisines, the Chilli Pickle's own style became increasingly defined. After two and a half years at Meeting House Lane an unmissable opportunity came along: a move to the myhotel premises on the bustling Jubilee Square. The Chilli Pickle is now an established presence on the Brighton culinary trail, but with a constantly evolving and seasonal menu, will surprise seasoned aficionados of Indian cuisine and delight those having their first experience.

Nice restaurant with a nice twist on the cuisine, the usual indian meals are slightly different and taste really nice, the staff were very helpful although the price is by no means cheap it is worth the little bit extra.....

Something quite different from the average Indian restaurant. Had a variety of different dishes from pea, pancakes, curries, fish, lamb, chicken and the variety of different sauces was great. Very busy place which says a lot. Atmosphere was warm and staff were very nice and helped choose a variety of dishes.

Back to see my dear friend A in Brighton so she took us to this place on our first night. Despite a mix-up with the reservation ( she claims they're always a bit scatty on this point....) we got a table and sat down to what was a good meal with some original choices. A's seabass was lukewarm so she... More

I appreciate the theme ascend essence of the restaurant. However, the food was dear away from the actual Indian food. Spices and taste was missing tremendously. Expectations were high and fell flat on the first dish

After reading lots of positive reviews and hearing great things a friend and I decided to visit for lunch. I'll admit that the waiter was very nice and the food wasn't greasy like so many other curries, but our food was nothing special. For two thali's and 2 cans of soft drinks the bill was £32. I honestly wish we... More

foods great, but can't understand why they can't get the simplest bit right - I'm starving. Since they changed the website we've had to wait so long to get our food. now 2 hours 10 minutes.

The food here is amazing. A group of around 6 of us went last week. Together we tried a few different things off the menu. My favourite was the fish curry and the chicken kebab platter. They are amazing. Nick our server was also amazing as well as the Manager on Duty Akelese. We will be back.

We've had lots of different types of food in Brighton and are particular about Indian restaurants (with several favourites in London). This is easily our favourite in Brighton. We've tried most of their menu most of which is excellent. Their tandoori is incredibly tender. I'm not a massive fan of biryani and also didn't like it here. Service is okay.

the food here was lovely but sadly we had to keep asking for drinks, was not given water and felt obliged to leave a tip. was also a very noisy resturant too but definatly worth a visit as food is good and loved the decor too.
