Located just a short walk from Seven Dials, the Chimney House offers something for everyone from a cup of tea and a slice of cake, pint of Harveys, glass of prosecco, dirty little burger or a relaxed three course meal. We strive to source our ingredients from within Sussex with fish from Shoreham and Newhaven, fruit and vegetables from local farms and glasshouses as well as meat from Garlic Wood Farm. We are open all day Tuesday to Sunday and look forward to seeing you even if its just for a jar of chutney.

This place is my local and I am glad that it is. Great food, relaxed atmosphere and love the Sunday roasts.

A perfect party venue. Flexible and well organised with the most amenable staff and very tasty buffet. Our friends loved it; we loved it. Thank you for helping us create a truly memorable day.

Went for lunch on Sunday 12th for a family birthday meal. 10 of us + baby. I've eaten all over Brighton (born here) so no most places. We recently moved to 7 dials and was given recommendation. I remember when it was the old Exeter pub years ago. We were very surprised how good the food was. Very interesting starters... More

Marvellous locally sourced pub food. If there is one meal that is most often better home cooked it is the Sunday roast. However, The Chimney House manages to serve Sunday lunches that are every bit as good, if not tastier-yes- even the roast potatoes. They always come with a generous selection of fresh vegetables. Even my vegetarian friends have been... More

An diverse menu with tasty food suitable for everyone - in a quirky eclectic setting. Tucked away, this is one of Brighton's hidden gems. We were a party of 6 and we were treated and welcomed like old friends by the staff. Amongst our favourites were the beetroot tart, vegetarian tasting plate, pigs head starter (much tastier than it sounds)... More

The Chimney House just gets better and better. This is now probably Brighton's most interesting food, with its accent on local and foraged food -- but without being at all up itself. And it's not silly money. The one thing that needs improvement is its uninspiring wine list.

Kiwis on holiday and have tried a few in the brighton area over 5weeks. This is the best Sunday roast by a mile. Have been the last 2 Sundays and both times superb. Great staff, food and ambience. Good value. Sorry we didn't find it earlier
