Family catch up

The staff at the Ginger dog, were very friendly and helpful, (there were only two serving) but they were there to help whenever needed. The food was really good I had Scallops and Pan fried sea bream;both were well cooked and delicious. We all went for the dessert from the specials board which was... read more

had Sunday lunch and a few dinners here all have been fantastic. The other half found the portions a little small but I have never had this issue. The 12 hour slow cooked pork neck was amazing!!! And all the trimmings. The service was unnoticable, but in the right way, they were present when needed but not overbearing. Fab wine... More

I visited the Ginger Dog on a cold wet January Saturday evening. It was recommended by our hotel so I had a reasonable expectation that it would be good. Having visited lots of gastro pubs in London and its surrounds, when I got to the front I wasn't sure my expectations would be met. I ventured in still feeling uncertain.... More

It's always a pleasure when you return to somewhere after a long period of time and find it even better, but that was the case. Warm welcome, very good service and excellent food - plenty of choice on menu which shows imagination and flair in going beyond the usual fare. Gastro-pub really is a deserved title in this context. Was... More

Love this place. We visit often. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The menu changes so don't expect to turn up and have the same as your last visit. There are always great specials on the board.

Last week I went to this restaurant for dinner and the first thing that impressed me was the atmosphere of a real english pub. We set down in the restaurant room and it was very nice and comfortable. For starter I ate a "Jerusalem Artichoke Soup" which was really good and like main course I chose "Char-Grilled Rib-eye Steak" which... More

A delicious roast with family - we tried all the menu from beef to pork to chicken to vegetarian. All well presented and the vegetables were varied and tasty too. A great choice of wine and cocktails and warm friendly staff. Quite pricey so more a treat but definitely recommended.

This used to be such a nasty old boozer so when it was transformed into The Ginger Dog I was thrilled. And the best bit? It just gets better with time! The only reason it doesn't get the full 10/10 is that when it's really packed it can be difficult to hear your nearest neighbour over the din, but let's... More
