Our host had long-wanted to visit this eatery and my wife's birthday seemed like the perfect occasion. Arrangements had been 'flexi' on this particular Sunday and so we actually hadn't booked when we walked through the door mid-afternoon. We were warmly welcomed , seated and then provided with menus. My wife and I always relish the opportunity to sample different... More

Had a meal on a Saturday night - it was very busy! We were seated at the far end of the restaurant on the red banquette. The food was really good, imaginative and beautifully prepared. The problem was it was so busy and noisy (low ceilings - it is an old pub) so despite siting as close together as we... More

Met up with 6 friends and booked in a wek before. Great welcome and really nice gastro pub. All the food looked as good as it was described on the menu, the vegetarian platter was a great meal, the fish off the day came up well presented with great flavours flooding through. The girls finished off with a caramel cocktail... More

Great food from a truly dog friendly pub. Probably the best Sunday pub lunch we've had for a long time. Not that easy to find but well worth the effort.

Good food , good wine and a nice atmosphere. Portion size was pretty poor which sadly marred our visit.

I went with a colleague during the week so it wasn't too busy. The food was all delicious, wine great also. I would definately go again.

Having eaten a delicious meal recently at its sister restaurant The Ginger Pig , I arrived hungry and full of anticipation....We were shown to our table in this cosy 'gastro' pub and the signs were good ....charming waiting staff ,an inovative and enticing menu and specials board ,lovely glass of house red served at just the right temperature and delicious... My dinner was perhaps the most exquisite dining experience I've had in Brighton! This charming tucked away local spot has the warmest and most welcoming staff, unique cocktails of their own creation, and amazing combinations well presented and just to die for. This has become my number one recommendation in Brighton. I just hope it does not become too well... More

Went here on a Wednesday lunchtime and it was very quiet. It's a nice pub but no one was drinking and just one family was eating. We've tried the other Ginger group restaurants/pubs and thought we'd add this to the list - the group have a loyalty card which gets stamped with each £30 spent and adds up to a... More
