If you want to sample amazing food in a traditional Arabic setting then head for this restaurant at the bottom end of Preston Street. We all had Mezze to start which would have done all four of us but not realising how generous the serving would be ,we then had different lamb dishes to follow .All superb and highly recommend you... It's always useful to check out the regulars in any restaurant and, when you see how many Arabic customers were smoking their pipes outside or how many were dining at 5pm, then you can expect a good experience. The mint tea was minty, the mixed meze was tasty and filling - and the service was bang on. Great value for... More

Been here with my wife on all three trips to Brighton and am never disappointed...once you get accustomed to the unusual vibe of feeling like you have walked into someone's living room where the hosts friends and family are hanging out, it's pretty cool...with byob in place, a saving is already guaranteed...just nip, across the road to the shop opposite and... The grills and kebabs were freshly prepared. All very tasty, accompanied by french fries or salad. Salad had too much iceberg lettuce, but were otherwise good, as were fries. Waiter pleasant, and service in general good.

Three of us went on a Thursday night on the occasion of someone's birthday. The waiter showed us to our table and proffered menus. When one of our party produced a bottle of wine (the establishment has a 'bring your own bottle' policy) I got the impression that the waiter was offended and opened the bottle reluctantly. This feeling was... More

Firstly orders taken we sat and waited. We thought it was a nice touch to be offered complimentary nibbles to start. We tucked into the bowl of hummus and meat thingy only to have it snatched away mid fork full. They had served us someone else's food! I was somewhat amused as this food was given a minute or two... The shisha smokers outside remind me of the Edgware Rd in Central London and they, together with the fairly run down exterior, can be a bit off-putting. However, I would say our food was good. We shared a mezze and a grilled chicken dish both of which were tasty. It isn't licensed so only soft drinks are available. The service... More

Preston street is one of these places (like Queensway in London) where ther is a worl of cuisine on your doorstep. Accordingly there is good competition and good food to be had at reasonable money and this is no exception. One of the better Lebanses have eaten in over the last year or so. Authentic good quality food and decent... More

I happened to be in Brighton with my parents for my birthday -- on a monday night -- everywhere was quite quiet so we thought the lack of customers was ok. All the reviews looked good so I was quite excited. What a disappointment. I ordered sambousik which was supposed to be a lebanese pastry filled with feta and dried... More

- Authentic Lebanese Food - Felt like ordering quite a lot from the menu, but could only manage to do with a few dishes due to practical limitations. Had the lamb Kabseh which was absolutely awesome, the lamb would melt in the mouth. Also had the Sheekh Kebab with fries and salad and it was again yumm. As starters had... More
