The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phukets beach bars and Bangkoks most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabais freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

Haven't been here for a while, but had a tasty late lunch the other day. We tried sitting outside as it was a sunny day, but retired defeated as it started to get really windy. However, it was a pleasure to sit indoors at the table facing the buddha water feature, which I find totally relaxing, especially with the pleasant... More

Great authentic Thai food, everything was delicious! Service was quick, attentive, friendly and professional. Good to see wine from Thailand and it was not bad at all! Reasonable price, a relaxed environment, definitely will go back and recommend to others!

Booked a last minute table for a Friday evening, think we got lucky and bagged the last one. A relaxed eclectic atmosphere, lovely staff and the most fabulous food. The bill with lots of tequila shots came to £140 for 4 with starters and main course-excellent value for such a great place-highly recommend.

I've sampled pretty much every Thai restaurant in Brighton, and oh boy is there some good Thai food around here. However, I've probably eaten at Sabai Thai about 20 times, and every time it's great. Love staff, wonderful food, and a nice atmosphere. There's a fantastic lunch time deal on, and in the evenings the expanded menu is great. I've... More

We visited the Sabai on the off chance and without a booking as it was a Sunday evening we assumed they wouldn't be too busy, but we were wrong! The place was packed which shows how popular it is. The restaurant itself has a lovely calming ambience and is clean and nicely decorated. The tables are fairly close together but... More

We stumbled across this lovely little thai restaurant whilst in Brighton for a day trip. We were greeted by friendly warm and polite staff and the service was amazing throughout our meal. Our meal was authentic to an extremely high standard. We ordered both vegetarian and non vegetarian items and each dish was as delicious as the next. The portion... More

I tried the beef green curry, but the serve speed was slow and the beef was too old. i think the price is higher than the wealth.
