Description: Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence...
Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

Fantastic Thai food in excellent location and "table for one" friendly. The service could have been more attentive but it was nice not to be hassled. I recommend the Tom Yum Gung and beef Massaman

Decided to eat at Sabai again and were not disappointed, we last visited this restaurant in December 2011 and it was as good the second time as we remembered it. Food is excellent as is the service, great value for money too.

Great vegan options and meat as well. Staff very friendly and offered good service. Found this restaurant by stumbling across it, and what a great find it was. Good value for money. Very well presented thai cuisine with many lovely flavours with in a relaxed environment.

My boyfriend booked a table for us at Sabai for a celebratory anniversary meal and we had a lovely time. The food was served quickly and the staff were all lovely and helpful. There is an adage sometimes that the more you pay more something, the better the quality, I believe this to be a fallacy, we paid £60.00 for... More

I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your food and time at Sabai and would return again. It seems the member of staff did not understand that you were trying to add a tip on the card machine. I have spoken to them all and reminded them all of this feature. After all, it is for their benefit as they... More

Thai food has a special place in my heart and it really upsets me when it's cooked wrong. Sabai, however, did it perfectly. The food was incredibly tasty and fresh, the staff were lovely and we even got to sit on the floor like in a proper Thai restaurant!

Really can't fault the food at all, it's top draw, only giving Sabai 3/5 due to the poor service myself and my other half got when we last eat here. The young lad who saw too us seemed more interested in eating his takeaway food he'd ordered in the kitchen as opposed to dealing with anything in the restaurant. Bear... More

Dear Anthony, Firstly thank you for the kind words about our food but we are sorry you experienced poor service. I spoke to the person I thought it was as you referred to a young lad. He assured me he never eats when he is working and apologised if it was him. If it was the same person he was... More

Haven't been here for a while, but had a tasty late lunch the other day. We tried sitting outside as it was a sunny day, but retired defeated as it started to get really windy. However, it was a pleasure to sit indoors at the table facing the buddha water feature, which I find totally relaxing, especially with the pleasant... More

Great authentic Thai food, everything was delicious! Service was quick, attentive, friendly and professional. Good to see wine from Thailand and it was not bad at all! Reasonable price, a relaxed environment, definitely will go back and recommend to others!

Booked a last minute table for a Friday evening, think we got lucky and bagged the last one. A relaxed eclectic atmosphere, lovely staff and the most fabulous food. The bill with lots of tequila shots came to £140 for 4 with starters and main course-excellent value for such a great place-highly recommend.
