Description: Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence...
Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

We visited here as a couple on a Wednesday evening and it was lovely. The chicken satay as a starter was delicious! As lovers of thai food we have had better duck and pad Thai but it was delicious nonetheless. Reasonably priced and good wine.

I have eaten an evening meal here, which was delicious and have been several times for the reasonably priced afternoon special. It is my favourite place for lunch in Brighton and conveniently situated being close to both the Royal Pavilion and The Theatre Royal. The food is delicious and the staff friendly and attentive.

I took my luncheon club of 15 business men from Brighton and the surrounding district to Sabai last week. A very discerning lot. They were all impressed by the excellent service and tasty food and, as organiser for the year, I was impressed by the price, about £10 for a 3 course lunch and reasonable wines for under £10 per... Fantastic Thai food in excellent location and "table for one" friendly. The service could have been more attentive but it was nice not to be hassled. I recommend the Tom Yum Gung and beef Massaman

Decided to eat at Sabai again and were not disappointed, we last visited this restaurant in December 2011 and it was as good the second time as we remembered it. Food is excellent as is the service, great value for money too.

Great vegan options and meat as well. Staff very friendly and offered good service. Found this restaurant by stumbling across it, and what a great find it was. Good value for money. Very well presented thai cuisine with many lovely flavours with in a relaxed environment.

My boyfriend booked a table for us at Sabai for a celebratory anniversary meal and we had a lovely time. The food was served quickly and the staff were all lovely and helpful. There is an adage sometimes that the more you pay more something, the better the quality, I believe this to be a fallacy, we paid £60.00 for... More

I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your food and time at Sabai and would return again. It seems the member of staff did not understand that you were trying to add a tip on the card machine. I have spoken to them all and reminded them all of this feature. After all, it is for their benefit as they... More

Thai food has a special place in my heart and it really upsets me when it's cooked wrong. Sabai, however, did it perfectly. The food was incredibly tasty and fresh, the staff were lovely and we even got to sit on the floor like in a proper Thai restaurant!
