Description: Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence...
Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

My birthday was Spoiled. Staff were all new. Little experience on what the menu was all about. After waiting for sometimes we were presented with incorrect orders! The child order was left out. Poor little girl had to wait further 15 minutes to receive her dinner. Even then the food was too spicy for children! I would not recommend a... More

Sabai Thai is very good located just right next to the Royal Pavillion and in the main part of the city center. It has a very nice atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed. Big food selection. We had the apetaizer for two people which was delicious, and as main we had curry both options of curry were very tasty. We... More

We have been to this restaurant a few times and are never disappointed with the food - always exceptional, fresh and authentic. Gets super busy and is quite small so would definitely recommend booking. We will continue to return here when we want great Thai food!

What an excellent restaurant, authentic Thai dishes with a lovely feel to the restaurant. The meals were very good and the vegetarian options were just as tasty, in fact we had quite a debate as to which was the best dish. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Had another wonderful meal here early evening yesterday after a visit to the theatre. Good, friendly service at a reasonable price, what more can you want?

The yellow curry was poor and I struggled to eat it: full of sugar and no veg in it other than potatoes. Som Tam over priced and lacked impact. The atmosphere is quite nice and the service friendly, but the food really lets this place down.

Hi Sorry you did not enjoy our food. I would hope you would tell the waiting staff so we could do something about it at the time. Our food is held in high regard but people do have different tastes. The same amount of sugar goes in every time and our chef tastes it before serving it. Sorry you found... More

Husband lived in Thailand and felt this was not the best. Having eaten in many Thai restaurants, we have our favourites. We all thought it was not up to a great standard. Jungle curry was thin and tasteless. We were told it was a different version but if that was the case would rather have been prewarned. Tom yum was... More

Dear Susie. Sorry our food was not too your liking! All our dishes are authentic and cooked by Thai chefs. As you can see from the vast majority of reviews our customers agree that our food is of a good standard. We have lots of repeat customers and including many Thai people. We all have different tastes so I guess... More

I was a little disappointed with the food. Both mine and my friend's dishes (she had a curry and I had noodles) came with big chunks of ginger in it. She also requested vegan chicken in hers and they had left it out of the curry, but put it on the bill. The service was good and the cocktails nice.

Dear Leah, I am sorry you found our food disappointing. Although I don't understand how your dishes would have contained chunks of ginger as we only used grated ginger in our dishes. I have spoken with the chefs and they have said they only put the grated ginger into our dishes. I apologise about the vegan "chicken" being missed from... More

We came here for our work Xmas lunch and had a great time. The food was quick to arrive and tasty (apart from the soup which was far too salty for me). There were four courses: starter, soup, main and dessert. I had fish cakes for starter with sweet chilli sauce - these looked really strange and at first I... More

Sawat di ka Seem's like a long time ago now, I am pleased you enjoyed your Christmas lunch with us at Sabai. Fish sauce is used in Tom Yum which gives it the saltiness, If it was too salty for you we could have made it less salty if it was not to your taste. I am pleased you and... More
