Located on the Kings Road in Brighton, Bar Aguadulce is a bright and buzzy spot popular with locals and daytrippers from the capital who all love the down-to-earth atmosphere and authentic Spanish menu. Serving everything from tapas to fresh fish and homemade puddings, Bar Aguadulce is a good spot for get-togethers and after-work drinks-and-dinner dates. Inside you'll find a simple dining room with polished wooden floors, cream walls and red and yellow accents, and the restaurant has a homely, chilled vibe. We love the presa Iberian pork pan-fried with garlic and bay leaves and served with potatoes; and the patatas mojopicon - deep-fried potatoes with a cumin, garlic and tomato salsa.

I have wanted to visit Agua Dulce for a long time after seeing such good reviews but unfortunately was disappointed in my visit. The food overall was good (although I found the chorizo very chewy) and would recommend the mussels and also the meatballs. The service was not great though- it was very difficult to get the staffs attention (even... More

I go to this place a lot as it's hands-down the best Spanish food in the UK - and better than some I've had in Spain! This time I went on my own but I've been there with my partner for lovely romantic meals and with friends for relaxed sociable LONG lunches and dinners - just like being in Spain... More

We were staying at the Brighton Thistle hotel, so this restaurant was really handy for us. Restaurant was quite quiet (Sunday night) but had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the paella between the 2 of us and some garlic mushrooms while we were waiting - both excellent. The paella was very generous... More

My wife and I booked a table at the agua dulce on reading a previous review on gluten free eating in brighton as my wife is coeliac, the owner Carlos knew all about gluten free and what my wife was allowed and not allowed to eat, They made us the best paella we have ever had and we have been... I arranged a surprise family gathering at this restaurant for mothers day. The food was fresh, authentically cooked, a great variety of tapas and a paella to die for. We were looked after very well, felt relaxed and had a fantastic time. If you're looking for great Spanish cuisine, look no further, this is the place to go. I drove... More
