You want wonderfully authentic south Indian food? Look no further...

We walked past this restaurant a number of times before being tempted in by the promise of masala dosa on the menu: a dish you will only find in south Indian restaurants, which are few and far between – even in London. Alright, the facade of the restaurant isn't that impressive but then London Road... read more

I went to to this restaurant for dinner with friends. The first impression wasn't good, our waiter was like pitt bull. No smile, no sense of humour. As we were waiting for our starters the whole place filled up with the smell of burning hot chillies (Everyone started coughing and became watery eyed - this was very uncomfortable) Then when... At last, a really good Indian restaurant! I love Indian food but so often I'm disappointed when I go to a restaurant. The Indian Eye was recommended to me and so we went. The service was friendly and quick, the poppadoms which we ordered were crisp and fresh - always a good start! I had Goan Green Chicken curry, which... More

Having walked past for years finally tried this restaurant and wasn't disappointed. The decor and furniture are nothing to write home about but the service was good and the food great. This is South Indian cuisine so as well as the usual favourites there are a number of less common dishes on the menu. Try the fish, especially the battered... More

The dishes we ordered were very tasty. service was prompt but there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Décor is very comfortable but, albeit it was a cold evening, the restaurant wasn't very warm and we kept our coats on.

hello sir, thanks for your feedback, our restaurant has almost a set pattern to build up of customer volume during the week its at highest during weekend then slightly slow monday, tuesday but from Wednesday the build up starts in means reservation via email/phone. we even refuse tables at our busy period to keep the service prompt. Maybe you visited... More

Decided to try this retaurant on a miserable Monday and was surprised to find several tables occupied, which made for a nice atmosphere. Service was efficient although not particularly smiley! I had the chicken chettinad which was superb. It is one of my favourite dishes to make at home. Anyway, the chettinad served here totally met my expectations in terms... More

Went with a group of 7, my first time to this restaurant. There was a good choice of dishes, we had a dosa starter which is pancake made from fermented rice and lentils filled with, in this case, a sweet potato mixture which I have never had before, very nice (but the main course version is very large). All the... More

What a find. Exquisite food with a diverse menu. Excellent customer service offering outstanding value. Who would have thought that a restaurant of such quality would be found on London Road.

were quite delicious.......as was my prawn moilee. How have I missed this oasis of south indian food? Because, it was situated in a pretty grim part of town, I say 'was' as the London Road is really smartening up their act, do not be put off. The establishment itself is quite basic, not exactly a date night location. Service was... More
