Wonderful food, great service.

First time eating here, food was really good and the staff were great, we asked for a couple of things that weren't on the menu which they readily served. Will definitely return with friends and family. Lovely evening.

The best Masala Dosa in town with a delicious filling that was plentiful. Great sambar to accompany it too. The staff were also very friendly who are very welcoming and always remember your face. Would definitely recommend!

Went to Eastern Eye with some friends. Service was dreadfully slow - main courses arrived an hour and a half after we arrived at 8. Two of the mains had to be sent back, my friend ordered a fish curry, having been assured that it contained no seafood, to which she is allergic. It arrived full of prawns. My lamb... More

i humbly apologise for this mishap madam, we were running one staff shortage on Friday thats the main reason the service was bit slow. i think you meant to say your friend was allergic to shellfish not seafood as fish curry is obviously seafood. we don't use shellfish in any of our dishes. this is our mistake i admit it... Sandra and I have been to this restaurant twice and on both occasions were not disappointed. The food is about as authentic as you can get, tasty and good depth of flavours. No pressure to over order and very happy for us to share the starter. Lovely dosa with a well prepared sambar. Good quality king prawn moilee balances nicely... More

Went on a monday night with a group of 6. Decided we were going to share starters and mains, so were able to order a wide variety of dishes with different tastes. My favourite was the Goa fish which was just perfect. A superb chicken with chillies was even better. Service was friendly and efficient and they even threw in... More

Thursday night thali night is an absolute winner! A a fantastic assortment of dishes, including a wonderful starter of spiced lentil batter pakora with chickpeas and some of the best tandoor cooked bread I've ever had. At £11.99 this is great value for money. Thanks again for a wonderful meal and see you again soon.

I went to to this restaurant for dinner with friends. The first impression wasn't good, our waiter was like pitt bull. No smile, no sense of humour. As we were waiting for our starters the whole place filled up with the smell of burning hot chillies (Everyone started coughing and became watery eyed - this was very uncomfortable) Then when... We walked past this restaurant a number of times before being tempted in by the promise of masala dosa on the menu: a dish you will only find in south Indian restaurants, which are few and far between – even in London. Alright, the facade of the restaurant isn't that impressive but then London Road isn't exactly the most salubrious... More

At last, a really good Indian restaurant! I love Indian food but so often I'm disappointed when I go to a restaurant. The Indian Eye was recommended to me and so we went. The service was friendly and quick, the poppadoms which we ordered were crisp and fresh - always a good start! I had Goan Green Chicken curry, which... More
