Came here for our anniversary dinner and never been here before. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere would defiantly come here again.

I had given up on Indian restaurants in England. They all seem to serve the same food - dull, inauthentic and often too oily. Reading the reviews made me want to give the Eastern Eye a try. It was well worth it. I had iddlies (not often you see those outside Southern India) that were light with a delicious sauce,... More

Had a really lovely meal on Saturday, the service, food and atmosphere was great. What I did like was the authentic Indian food, the normal madras, biryani, and korma dishes were right at the back of the menu, on offer but really not worth it as the dishes offered were sumptuous. Reasonably priced, and well worth a visit, the dishes... More

Can only echo other reviews on this place. Fantastic authentic food. Beats modern-themed Indians (you know who I mean) restaurants into a cocked hat!

We went for dinner here on a cold bonfires night and needed something to both warm the body and the soul and we were not disapointed! The food here is as authentic as you can get this side of india! This is not a typical curry house so if you are looking for bland tasting chicken tikka this isnt the... More

Went here as part of a group. This was not a part of the town I expected to end up in. Jumped in a taxi and asked the driver to take us to the best curry place . Thank you driver, a great choice. This is away from the tourist area but not too far from the station. I found the... More

It's easy to walk past Eastern Eye and not realise what delights wait inside. The food is obviously cooked with great care, and it shows in the subtle mix of flavours. The slow-cooked lamb shank is very tasty and succulent and their dosas are delicious, either as a starter to share or as a main dish. Try the Duck Chettinad... More

Superb - the Eastern Eye doesn't look special but believe me it is. Comfortably the best Indian meal I've had outside of Asia. The chilli-garlic lamb shank with paratha was amazing and the superb lamb dosa starter my friend had was arguably even better. The squid paneer starter was a little greasy but now i'm being fussy! Superb food, hard... More

Great midweek dinner. Fast friendly service and decent atmosphere - the restaurant was pretty full by 7 on a Thursday. We went to try out the dosa and it was excellent - and huge! Recommend one between two for first timers. Particularly good poppadoms as well with really good selection of chutneys and dips. Highly recommend - I'll definitely be... More

Brighton has a good choice of curry houses, but Eastern Eye is the best in my opinion. Modestly located on the London Road, the well priced food is superbly cooked, with flavour being the common denominator. Even the naans are amazing; the Goan fish curry I tried was the best curry I've ever eaten: slightly hotter than I usually have,... More
