I have visited India three times in the last four months and in that time have experienced many veg only curries from a variety of city, street and beach venues. Apart from a few "mistakes" I have enjoyed the flavour, depth and tastes of the real India experience . I had high hopes on Saturday of a parallel experience in... More

My partner and I had a briiliant vegan dinner and our 12 year old girl (who is not even a vegetarian) enjoyed it too. Inexpensive - little bit of a walk out of town but well worth it.

I am a big fan of Planet India & try to eat there as often as I can because it is incredible. Food, service & atmosphere always spot on. Beer list excellent. Came here for my birthday with 14 friends recently & everyone (including devoted carnivores & Planet India newbies) was completely in awe. Thanks Planet India for never disappointing,... More

Sometimes you get lucky and are introduced to a restaurant you would never have thought of going to ... Planet India is one of those places. Great service and a convivial atmosphere ... and the most fantastic vegetarian food I've ever tasted. Definitely on my Brighton favourite's list now. Make it one of your's too ... and head for Richmond... More

Not one person we've ever introduced to this place has walked away unsatisfied. You know what you are going to get, and how it will taste, and boy is it good. Traditional, non westernised indian food at its finest, run by wonderful family, who always seem to be smiling.

We visited early on a Tuesday evening in early March. Most restaurants in town were pretty empty, but not this place We were squeezed on to the only table for two. There was a buzzy atmosphere in this vibrant and homely carpeted dining area. The staff were friendly but very busy. This is not fine dining: metal beakers for tap water,... More

We visited here after work on a Thursday night on a friends recommendation. The food was tasty, with special mention going to their spicy popadoms. Only negatives were the speed that the mains came out after the starters (not allowing us much time to catch our breath let alone to let the food settle) and the fact if you order... More

I have been to Planet India three times in the past two years and never regretted. But recently I ordered a take away via D2go. I was sorry I spent 30 pounds on that..ketchoris were dry and with no chutney added, Mumbai potato was literally potato slices in a tomato sauce..taste like from a cheap curry house. Red lentil daal... More
