Locals and foodies mix in this delightfully bright and cheerful family-friendly food pub – a hidden gem, which has remained busy and buzzy since it opened six years ago. Something of a local institution, this fabulous pub serves good honest food, prepared with skill and passion. Beautifully prepared roast meals are served on Sundays from 12 to 6pm. With superb Sussex reared meats, a vegetarian and fish option as well as small portions for children, it’s hard to find a reason not to visit.

Very nice food, but can get noisier than you would expect in a restaurant

I used to live around the corner for 20 plus years, so this was my local when it was a pub. It's gone through a few changes of management, and is now a gastro pub, with plenty of seating for those who want to eat, and plenty of room for those who want to drink. We were 4 adults with... read more

Had a meal on Saturday evening , a group of 8 .We were disappointed with the range of choices on the menu , particularly for vegetarians. Food was ok , but very uninspiring, and overpriced . Have had their lunch there before which was much better value .

We have been going here on a Friday lunch time for the last few months and have not had a bad meal, staff friendly and helpful, food great, choice is not big but they do change the menus, the set menu we have had a few times is always good. The sticky toffee pudding for me is a must if... More

Had food and drinks here many times in the past and come away satisfied every time. Well balanced and always changing selection at the bar has meant there's always something great to try, as well as keeping old favourites around just long enough to enjoy. Food punches far above its station and is top restaurant quality, including Sunday roasts. Menu... More

This pub is great for friday evening drinks if you don't fancy going into town. The food is usually really nice, although they change the menu and the lovely pulled pork burger has gone! It's not particuarly cheap but I'm happy to pay it as it's good. From going to this pub a lot it seems there are some new... More

We came here for lunch as the in laws were visiting.  We all ordered a roast. The Yorkshire puddings came out flat and soggy  Complained about this and the replacements came out high and crispy.  The others should not have been served and it always makes a meal awkward when you have to complain  Also the food for some of... I've reviewed before, but thought it deserved a re-visit since the quality of the food seems to only have gone up. I went here for lunch with my Fiancé a few days ago, and we had the sourdough and homemade hummus, beef burger, grilled halloumi starter and sticky toffee pudding. The flavours were fantastic I was very impressed!! The service... More

Very new to living in Fiveways and loving the gem that is the Preston Park Tavern. Not a cheap place to eat or drink but always lovely and with great, friendly staff. A lovely local.

A perfect Pub Sunday Lunch. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, efficient staff and excellent roasts. Yorkshire puddings as big as your fist, lots of interesting veg and tender meat. Also half sized roast dinners for kids which are great value. Well worth booking.
