Not bad... but not amazing

Four of us ate at Pomegranate a few weekends ago. It's one of those places literally a short walk from home, but we had never got around to eating there. Once inside, the interior is far better than the exterior, which always looks quite dark and grubby. Waitress was lovely, attentive and... read more

As I'm writing this review, Pomegranate restaurant is on number 2 on the list o best Brighton restaurants. This is why I had my dinner there, tonight. Worth its position? No. Would I go again? Yes. The menu is interesting, I could not decide what to order as everything sounded yummy (average price for main is £13, filling portion). I... More

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had tzatziki and houmus with flatbreads to start and then both had sizzling lamb kebabs served on lebanese flatbread with a butter and yoghurt sauce. Lamb was cooked to perfection and although it was filling, I was reluctant to leave any. I didn't have room for any dessert though!

Pomegranates restaurant is located in Kemptown, close to the sea. It could easily be missed by the casual passerby. We were looking out for it following recommendations of locals. Inside the restaurant was cosy, with walls adorned with original paintings. The owners were huge on hospitality and welcomed us like one of the family. The menu was interesting without being... Booked on the back of reviews read here and Pomegranate was also recommended by our B&B hosts,Bannings at Number 14 so we were looking forward to eating here and were not disappointed. The restaurant is small and intimate and busy on a Monday evening so atmosphere was good. The food was excellent, so tasty and beautifully presented - we both... More

I wanted to go to a nice intimate restaurant for my birthday and the Pomegranate ticked all the boxes, the food was great (I didn't leave anything on my plate), the atmosphere was divine and the service was second to none. I highly recommend you check it out if your in Brighton. They treated us very well. It made my... More

We recently went to Pomegranate on a friday evening. We booked on the back of other reviews and were very impressed! Unsure what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu and reasonable prices. We both had lamb for our main course, which was tender and perfectly seasoned. The portions were also very generous. The staff were fantastic;... More

I had a great meal there with my wife. The food was excellent and large portions. Service was extremely friendly and it one of the most atmospheric restaurants I've been to. Definately going back. One note of warning. Make sure to book ahead, I lost count of how many people turned up on the Saturday night without a reservation and... More
