Still thinking about that delicious pizza!!!!!

A lovely traditional style Italian restaurant, homely and friendly. We ordered the whitebait and the prawn/avocado starter. A bit retro you might say but very tasty so why not !! The pizza mains were really delicious, you cant beat the brick oven flavour. I had the parmesan, parma ham and rocket... read more

Have eaten here before and couldn't fault the place at all, however this time was slightly different. Sat at a nice table right by the window. Felt quite rushed to order drinks and food. There was quite a wait between asking for drinks and actually getting them. They ran out of what we were drinking too. Our candle wasn't lit... More

This resturant was recommended to is by the lady running our B&B and we are glad we tried it. Not the most contemporary italian resturant or menu but felt very quaint and authentic. The staff were attentive and friendly and the wine was good. We had an antipasti board to start which was plentiful and tasty and then both had... More

Delicious seafood spaghetti - just the right amount of chilli, garlic and olive oil. Tiramisu a bit dry though. A nice, intimate setting with friendly service.

This was recommended by our hotel hosts so we decided to give it a try. Great authentic Italian food and ambience although maybe with a slight excess of 'Grazies', 'Pregos', 'Signores', 'Signoras' and so on. Good service and reasonably priced. Watch out for the fiery chillies in the spaghetti and prawn dish!

The restaurant is typical of the local "trat" that you'd find on most provincial high streets in the 70s. However nostalgic I might feel towards that era, menu choices and attention to quality food have moved on in the UK in the last 30 years, but sadly not at the Capannina. Unimaginative pasta and a steak that was drowned in... More

I was so disappointed on my last visit. This used to be a good classica italian rstauant. I woud score th pizza one out of ten and not at all authentic. I dont know what cheees was used but iT was a glob on top. The decor is dated and the place is generally y scufy.

We were stopping in the fabulous Griffin Guest House next door and the restaurant had great reviews on Trip advisor. It was small, warm, intimate and a calm yet jovial atmosphere. The waiters were attentive but not intrusive. The choice on the menu and special board was very appealing. Our food was so delicious and the house wine was lovely.... More
