Description: Located on Paston Place in the heart of Kemp Town village, Sam's of...
Located on Paston Place in the heart of Kemp Town village, Sam's of Brighton is a stone's throw from the Brighton Pier and the Marina. Sister restaurant to Sam's of Sevendials in the heart of Brighton, this chic and elegant family-owned bistro - with an understated neutral colour scheme, wooden floors and deco-inspired lamps - is popular with a fashionable local crowd. Sam's serves classic yet creative dishes made from the finest seasonal ingredients, and the restaurant's award-winning menu features favourites such as the Shetland rope-grown mussels with spiced coconut, vanilla, and red peppers; roast rabbit loin served with soft polenta and savoy cabbage; and the rice pudding with blood orange for dessert. Sam's also has an excellent selection of both old and new world wines, many available by the glass and carafe. Sam's of Brighton was voted "Runner Up BEST UK NEWCOMER" by the Harden's Guide 2010.

Same of Brighton

Good food slightly expensive but great service. The menu is English with a hint of a french accent. And the deserts are always too much but so wanted.

Having recently bought a house in Kemptown Village (Brighton) we are really keen to support local businesses. Oh dear this is a sad let down after a number of great experiences in local restaurants. While the food itself (except for the vile dish of olives) is made from quality ingredients, well cooked and well presented, the service is truly awful.... More

The food was excellent but the service was poor and the staff obviously lacked training. The coffee was cold and was sent back but when we got the bill we had been charged for it. We have eaten at Sam's many times and this was our worst experience to date.

Stopped here for brunch on a lovely summer's day. Tucked away from the tourist chaos near the Pier, this intimate spot served up a great Eggs Benedict; the bacon served with it was cooked to perfectin as well. We happened to have the restaurant completely to ourselves (seemed odd for mid-day Saturday), but perhaps everyone was just out enjoying the... More

Visiting Brighton, decided to eat at Sam's as previous visit last year had a fantastic meal. This time not so good, I had fish that was literally swimming in butter although other two diners with me said their food was very nice. Staff were very pleasant but felt they needed guidance and perhaps a supervisor on hand. When ordering a... More

We have been to Sam's a number of times. For Brunch they have a great menu, the eggs Benedict is great and the big stack of pancakes and bananas are brilliant too. There is always a very good kids menu too offering smaller portions from the menu and a good selection, certainly no chicken nuggets and chips here! We have... More

We visited for lunch. The food was okay; nothing overly special. We each had steak. It was well cooked. The service was good.
