We went on a Sunday around 2pm and it was packed! Many tables reserved, luckily we found a table for two. Great selection of roast dinners ranging from £11-12. I had the belly of pork which was lovely with lots of meat and veg. My friend had roast chicken and was happy. This seemed like a locals pub with no... More

I went for an evening meal as part of a group, we all had the sausage and mash in various forms, some vegetarian and some meat but all meals were excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We even ended up joining in the quiz night, all in all a most enjoyable evening. I would recommend and look... More

A friend recommended trying the Bangers 'n' Mash menu at this pub so we went along last night. We were gob-smacked by the choice! You basically get customise your meal.. A really simple concept that works really well; choose your banger, choose your mash & then choose your gravy (and a add a side of veg if that floats your... More

We visited here yesterday, after looking for somewhere "interesting" to have Sunday lunch rather than the many chain restaurants in the city. Fantastic roasts, with the lamb shank, pork belly and beef, and all the accompanying Yorkshires, roast potatoes etc. all being perfectly cooked and served in a pleasant way A great place to go for a few drinks and... We ate here for the first time last night on a friends recommendation. The food was superb- the sausage and mash menu was incredible and is very good value. The pub has a really chilled out atmosphere and nice beer and cider on draft. We went with family from the West Country who were over the moon to find Thatchers... More

Just stumbled upon some friends earlier today and decided to try the Sunday roasts. Picked the lamb shank which literally fell off the bone as it arrived. The roasties were crisp and the Yorkshire were lovely thick and not over cooked. Great value for 12 quid and lovely music and service. Perfect Sunday vibes for any roast dweller. Will be... More

A little out of the way close to the trendy Seven Dials area a pub that cares about its beer and specialises in a wide selection of bangers and mash six days a week, barbecues in the summer and great roasts on Sunday. I've been there alone, as a couple and with a large family group and it has always... More

Just sausage and mash heaven really! Any combo you like, good hearty pub food. Good value, big portions, good veggie options too. Started more of a bar snack menu, have not tried it but looks yummy too. Always a good atmosphere.

I am happy to say that I can now call this gem of a Pub my local. This is why I like it: No TVs showing sports. No friut machines. The best bangers and mash in town. No loud music. Its right next to my flat..boom. Enjoy.
