This isn't the first time I've visited La Trattoria and it definitely won't be the last. It was the Saturday of Easter weekend so understandably busy which made the service relatively frantic and a little slow but the food was lovely as usual. Well priced for the quality and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be going back

Having walked for a couple of hours we were ready for a bite to eat. Unfortunately our 9 month old daughter isn't patient when wanting food, so we made a snap decision to eat in La Trattoria. The staff we very helpful. Not only did they sort a small seat out for our daughter there was no problem heating her... More

Four of my girlfriends & I were staying overnight in Swanage at a local B&B as we were heading to Studland Stables the next day for part of my hen do. The restaurant was highly recommended by our B&B hosts and we can see why! After an initial navigating hiccup (our fault not theirs!) we arrived at the restaurant and... More

We stumbled across this restaurant on a wet windy night (for we Australians anyway) - and chose it primarily because it looked cosy and warm! Luckily for us, the food and service were excellent. So good, that we came back the next night. The stories about the founder of the restaurant were an added bonus. And the cheesecake was the... More

We booked at short notice and got a table for 3 just after (we have had lunch here several times). We thought it would be a nice place to take our friend who was visiting from Wales. The food was as excellent as our lunches had been, the service was good. Cannelloni very nice, tiramisu heavenly, chefs special pudding Ron... More

Decided to eat here as looked like a nice traditional italian from outside. Inside was a real let down. I ordered the Mozzarella and tomatoe salad for starter. When it came tomatoes and mozzarella didn't taste of anything( more like supermarket value produce) and was served with no dressing or bread. Just literally a bit of watery tomatoe and cheese.... We really enjoyed our meal and thought it good value. The house red was fine. We sampled soup, scallops, cannelloni, and fish. All great choices. We had booked a table and just as well...it was pleasantly busy, even on a Tuesday night. Would recommend a visit!

We very much enjoyed our dinner at the Trattoria last night. The welcome was warm, the service efficient and our meals delicious. We drank the house white wine which was very pleasant. We did choose this restaurant for its good choice of fish and were not disappointed . Big prawns in garlic butter, whole seabass in pesto sauce served with... More
