We held our daughters 1st birthday and my 30th here at our local pub and it was amazing. Accommodated all our needs and everything we wanted to do was not an issue. Thank you Annie and Steve for being great hosts and helping to make our day.

Visited in a Wednesday night (they don't normally do food on a Wednesday so unfortunately no specials). Very friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. Prawn starter was very nice (served with salad and a mini stir fry of veg) followed by crab and chilli linguine which was excellent (not that hot, just a subtle kick-the kids tried it and didn't... We came here last year so thought we would pay another visit and we were glad we did. We had the Lulworth lobster thermidore and the TT braised beef which was melt in the mouth. The chef didn`t even mind making two portions of the crab linguine for the kids(without the chilli) which they loved!! Excellent pub...

We visited the Globe because of its TripAdvisor ratings, and were very pleasantly surprised! The pub sits a bit outside of the main part of town, perhaps a 20 minute easy walk from the centre, but is significantly cheaper than a lot of the more central eateries. The food is also exceptional - I had the Thai Curry, which I... More

This pub is on the outskirts of Swanage in a very ordinary part of town. It offers food comparable in quality to the best restaurants in town at a fraction of the price. We didn't expect to see a specials board which included lamb and goat tagine, which was exquisite and delicately flavoured, as was the smoked cod with braised... More

My husband and I ventured to the Globe last Saturday after seeing the reviews on here. We were not disappointed! The interior does not do the kitchen justice - we both chose from the specials menu and were really pleased we did. The husband had lamb shank and mustard mash - he hasn't stopped raving about it since and thought... More

We are trying to maintain the atmosphere of The Globe as a local that welcomes visitors for drinks and good food rather than a restaurant type pub. Ash rents the kitchen from us and we work together to try and make eating here a pleasant... More

We stayed in Swanage and gave the Globe a go after looking at Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed, managed to get a table on-spec at 8.30 on a Friday night and had an excellent meal. The cheesy garlic bread was a whole baguette and the rump steak was perfect! Great vegetarian options too. Highly recommended.
