This is one of few remaining sticky slated floor, buxom (often) barmaids, real fantastic ale, no juke box. Excellent atmosphere, cheesy chips a must. sometimes crowded but the landlord always has time for you. Come as a stranger, leave with a load of friends. Cannot over rate this place. May it never close.

The Digby tap is my all time favourite place to drink. I love my real ale and there's always a wide variety to choose from. I've never been in the daytime but it's fantastic from around 8pm of an evening. Always packed. Full of faces old and new a great place to meet and network. This pub is not 'shabby... More

Had been told that The Digby Tap was somewhat of an institution in Sherborne we booked in advance. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Most of the tables were in use. The menu offered a good choice and there were specials too. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious hot and good value for money. On the... More

somewhere lively to go in Sherborne with lots of characters and reasonably priced drinks. Great 'proper' pub. Worth a view. Would imagine meals are reasonable too.

this was recommended to us by local friends as a real place where locals frequent. It's simple, scruffy and lovely with a great selection of proper ale and simple lunches. So much nicer than the chains.

A proper local pub: great ale, good value food (lunchtimes) and genuine atmosphere, something that big 'pub cos' cannot emulate. Can be a bit crowded at peak times. Good selection of cask ales and simple menu.
