A Good Honest English Pub

What you don't get: Frills, Gormet burgers, Mobile phones (50p fine to charity if caught). What you do get: A great atmosphere, eclectic clientele, great beer. Oh, and a pool room.

Friendly pub. Had lunch here. Very busy. Basic food but very reasonable. Dog friendly. Excellent beers. Don't expect five star food and service but great for family on a budget.

This is a very british pub. The beer is excellent. The food is such good value and good quality. Old flag stone floor, dogs welcome, very good atmosphere., what's not to like.

Please go and soak up the beer and the atmosphere - traditional local pub and very busy it seems. A traditional 'local' - very unpretentious, friendly customers.

Where can you get a pint of real ale for #2.20? The Digby Tap is the place to go. Its a real old fashioned pub with no airs or graces. The lunch we had was well cooked, tasty and really inexpensive.

Great atmosphere, a mix of locals and travellers, selection of beers, great pricing. If you're in Sherborne don't miss the opportunity to visit.

Food excellent choice...Small pub so a little cramped at times, but its a traditional pub and not spoilt by too much tourism.

We were recommended this pub. On a cold windy day, we took sanctuary at lunch time, and ordered small meals. The price was minimal, and my goodness, the food superb. The following day, a friend came to spend the day with us, and again, off to the Digby Tap. This time we could not find a free table. By chance, a... More
