Food excellent choice...Small pub so a little cramped at times, but its a traditional pub and not spoilt by too much tourism.

We were recommended this pub. On a cold windy day, we took sanctuary at lunch time, and ordered small meals. The price was minimal, and my goodness, the food superb. The following day, a friend came to spend the day with us, and again, off to the Digby Tap. This time we could not find a free table. By chance, a... More

We last went in here on a Sunday evening between Evensong at the Abbey church and an evening meal. As ever it was busy but we got a table. There is always a lively atmosphere here. No music and no fruit machines. A number of guest ales at incredibly good prices. Lunches are super value too. You can fill up... More

The Digby Tap has no airs & graces, just serves a great choice of ales & wines, plus at lunch times delicious food at great prices.

One of those rare gems - a genuine British pub, not a fake make-over or ponced-up gastropub; a real local watering hole, scrumming at the bar, lively atmosphere, "lucky to get a table" kind of place. Excellent honest quality food at a price which is truly remarkable. If you prefer reality to role play this is the gaff for you.... More

A 'no-frills' Pub serving good reasonably priced food and real ales. Unlike many Pubs these days, the Digby Tap does not claim to be a gastro-pub. It is a real local pub and is always busy. the staff are efficient and the service is good. Its 'No Mobile Phones' policy is a bonus as far as I am concerned.

Arrived with a fork over my shoulder, what pub would allow that! I just love this pub and this country, great beers, no mobiles or you get fined. Guest beers and very nice nibbles. Dogs, boots and newspapers. Get some in and visit this pub.
