Our deli serves the best cheese for miles, where we showcase the pick of local classics such as Montgomery and Dorset Blue Vinny, plus the finest examples of the European Greats. We stock cheeses so good, so extraordinary and perfectly matured, you'll taste the difference in every mouthful. Turnbulls Bistro serves seasonal home made lunches with many dishes under £10, made here by us with carefully sourced local ingredients. And our coffee, well, it's Great Taste Award winning, and our hot chocolate special is renowned in playgrounds from Bath to the Jurassic Coast.

Now that's a full English!

I have been going to Turnbulls for over a decade. It's always been pretty good and buying cheese there is a pleasurable experience, staff are very well informed, confident and provide relaxed service. To still be going strong after all this time is an accolade in itself. Today I had a "full... read more

I have never been to Shaftesbury before, when I arrived with a friend for lunch. Luckily we parked immediatley outside Turnbulls, the local deli and cheese monger There is a limited cheese based menu, which is more than appealing/appetising They also make a very good cup of coffee Well worth a visit with a spot of shopping to finish a... The deli is great- a real asset to Shaftesbury. There has been a new refurb but to be honest I struggled to notice a difference. The menu has changed and is very 'cheese' orientated (so if you aren't a cheese fan, probably best to choose somewhere else). What we did have was lovely and a decent sized portion. Great coffee... Very good Deli, I get my cheese here, so nice to see an old fashioned cheese shop, very good selection of cheeses from all over the world, and well informed staff know all the chesses, always a pleasure to shop here, with there were more shops like this.

Now I've got a man sized appetite but gentlemen and ladies even this nearly defeated me , and for the last few hours I've been making a slow recovery on the sofa from the most satisfying feeling of gluttony for a long time . Welcomed by friendly staff into this emporium of cheese and good living we viewed the menu... More

Visited this bistro/deli a few times now and every time both the food and the service have been excellent. Great deli as well as popping in for takeaway lunchtime baguette if I don't have time to stay. Will definitely keep popping in!
