It was a nice surprise to find out how good this restaurant was. The Dining room is large, light and has a modern feel. The servers were youthful and attentive. My starter of pigeon pastrami with pickled plums, hazelnut slices and chanterelles, was one of the nicest, freshest things I had eaten in a long time. The main course of... More

Our 5th wedding anniversary and we decided to treat ourselves to an evening meal at the Grosvenor. Excellent choice! The bar staff were very good, (what a choice of vodkas and gins!), and our waiting staff were efficient, but I felt lacked much experience. Still, this will come with time. Yes, there was a wait for the food but to... More

A marvelous surprise - we had booked at the Hotel as it is pet friendly, and hadn't even looked at the restaurant options on booking, we knew we just need to get there in time to eat. What a treat - the food was extraordinarily good, quite one of the finest meals I have eaten in the UK. Don't miss... More

A nice place for a drink, and food too, pleasant surroundings, and friendly staff. A good place to meet friends, plenty of space.

We dropped for dinner and dining room was practically empty and asked if we had a reservation!! the local bridge club had booked all the tables for 8.00pm and this was 6.45 pm and many more were turned away. They eventually sat us and charged £27 EACH for two rib-eye steaks which were no more than 7-8 ozs., each. Total... More

Booked over the phone for a Saturday lunch for 4, on a busy sunny day, 2 hours before we wanted to eat that day, they couldn't get us in for 1pm, but said we could have 12.30 or 1.30. When we got there, we were greeted by courteous staff and given the option of eating in the courtyard (outside) as... More

This is a classy restaurant with a ambitious menu. It can be quite expensive, but the food is very good, and service is prompt and friendly.

I'd travelled down the 100 miles from London to take my 93 year old grandmother out for a meal at what I thought would be the best place in Shaftesbury. A polite Prince Harry type waiter seated us and took our drinks order. They came swiftly enough and a few minutes later the food order was taken too at around... More

Chose venue for special meal with friends. Never been before, but was really bowled over by the decor on arrival. We all had different starters, mains & deserts so got a good feel for overall menu. Food was absolutely amazing, well presented, very tasty, even had a vegetarian option that wasn't the standard mushroom risotto! Had THE best evening and... More
