The Blue Raddle is a pub that gets virtually everything right, and is therefore popular with both locals and visitors. I'm one of the latter, getting to Dorchester for a week every couple of years and always visiting the Raddle when I do so. It has an excellent range of well-kept beers, and the "home-made" pub food is actually home-made... More

We had wanted to visit this highly recommended pub for ages and yesterday we finally got there. It was completely brilliant in every respect. Friendly staff. Asked if I wanted a free taste as I couldn't decide on which beer (great choice). The beer was perfect, tasty and correct temperature. Menu - wow!!!! 6 lovely vegetation choices, any of which... We went with friends for an early evening pub meal. Fortunately we had booked as it was already packed. We all had a great meal, home-cooked and loaded plates. We didn't make it to dessert as the kitchen had closed by the time we were ready to order, but we were so full it wasn't actually a problem. We left... More

Was recommended here by another pub advertising good food, but didn't have any. Starting on a positive, the food was very good and the service prompt. It seems that the landlord has an odd sense of humour. Around the walls are pictures with 'funny' captions. They must be in-jokes cause we didn't get them. We were told to sit anywhere... More

A friendly little pub in the centre of Dorchester, with plenty of variety in terms of the local ales and ciders on offer. Judging by the number of local regulars ordering food, the kitchen is clearly fairly decent too, although I didn't eat there on my visit. Friendly bar staff and a welcoming atmosphere made for a pleasant stop-off.

I chose this pub for a mature girls night out because it had good reviews and is near the car park. We struck lucky as it's a very friendly pub with great beer, good food and pleasant ambiance. I will definitely revisit.

great little traditional pub with a good selection of ales which kept my husband happy. We had looked at various places to eat today but we are fed up of over priced food that looks like a half portion. Having looked at the reviews for the Blue Raddle we decided we would stop by here and give it a try.... More

This is my favourite pub in Dorchester. The atmosphere's brilliant, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food's really good value. The beer's not bad, either! This is also the favourite pub of quite a few friends as well. Long may it last.
