We popped in here as it was the closest pub to the main road we were travelling down at the time. I was awed to see that there were as many veggie options as meat dishes and a few of them were vegan too. We loved that it was dog friendly, despite our dog no longer being with us. The... More

Unfortunately they weren't doing food on the night I was there, but the atmosphere was fantastic and the bar staff were really friendly. The cider was excellent too and there was a great selection of ales

We have eaten here on many occasions and as usual we had a great meal when we visited for Saturday lunch with friends. There is always a wide selection of main courses to choose from, including a good range of vegetarian options. Lovely puddings too if you can manage one! My husband says there's always a good range of real... More

Had a light business lunch which was served hot and tasty. Nice selection of real ales. Overall a nice change to the plastic pubs. .

I've eaten in a few bad pubs of late so I was pleasantly surprised with a week night dinner with the inlaws at the Blue Raddle. There's a lot of choice on the menu, your traditional pub food as well as many options for vegetarians. I went for a leek and cheese flan, I asked for boiled potatoes rather than... More

The Blue Raddle is a pub that gets virtually everything right, and is therefore popular with both locals and visitors. I'm one of the latter, getting to Dorchester for a week every couple of years and always visiting the Raddle when I do so. It has an excellent range of well-kept beers, and the "home-made" pub food is actually home-made... More

We had wanted to visit this highly recommended pub for ages and yesterday we finally got there. It was completely brilliant in every respect. Friendly staff. Asked if I wanted a free taste as I couldn't decide on which beer (great choice). The beer was perfect, tasty and correct temperature. Menu - wow!!!! 6 lovely vegetation choices, any of which... We went with friends for an early evening pub meal. Fortunately we had booked as it was already packed. We all had a great meal, home-cooked and loaded plates. We didn't make it to dessert as the kitchen had closed by the time we were ready to order, but we were so full it wasn't actually a problem. We left... More
