Very good lunch stop

Good beer, prices and ice snacks, very good services. We arrived a little late for the lunch time session but as there were four of us they accommodated us great example of customer first!

Called in for lunch with a friend after reading some of these reviews. It's a nice pub and the beer and hospitality was good. We ordered lunch, but I came away a bit disappointed, for example a homemade pie was just a filling in a ceramic dish with a bit of puff pastry floating on the top, served with frozen... More

Booked here on the TA reports, yes it is a locals pub and an interesting decor to say the least. Food is ordered at the bar, having chosen from a selection on a blackboard. A varied selection yes, home cooked yes, but it is a pub, and prices charged are more towards a gastrro pub, not a locals pub... where... More

On impulse six of us booked late on Friday evening, not only did they accomodate us, but they provide a good quality range of home cooked meals. Including drink and a bottle of wine it came out at £20 per head. i should add that the staff were friendly and attentive. All in, a warm quirky little pub.

Very much a locals pub. Many of the beers were not available but those that were on were very good. Didn't eat but the selection looked good. I would visit again if in Dorchester.

We booked on a Saturday night and found a busy, vibrant pub with friendly staff. The food is basic pub grub but it is well prepared and reasonably priced. Beers are well kept and there is a good choice. Definitely a return visit when we are next in the area.

Popular old fashioned type local. Mainly regulars and a few dogs when we popped in. Good ales friendly barman made us welcome.

Just been away for a couple of nights with my husband and we visited the Blue Raddle after reading about it on their website. Seemingly popular with locals it offers many real ales and ciders and does not hold with a set food menu - the landlady cooks whatever she fancies using lots of locally sourced ingredients. We both enjoyed... More

If you are in Dorchester looking for a pub that has character and real ale rather than bright lights and cheap Carling, try the Blue Raddle. Tucked in a side road off High East Street this is one of our favourite pubs in town. Cosy, warm and welcoming!! Great beers, ciders and food too. If you want to eat it's... More

A lovely local pub. Have met some very nice locals here. The ale is professionally kept and poured. I have had a diverse amount of real ale here. The good is also very good value for money without any compromise on quality.
