Bravissimo!

Ate here this evening on the recommendation of TripAdvisor and have to say that this was the best, most homely and relaxed Italian we've ever had. The staff were friendly and fun, the setting was quaint and cosy and the food was utterly phenomenal. We had a bottle of good pinot, a shared starter... read more

Lovely Italian in the middle of Dorchester. The tables are in the cellar but it's nice and airy, nicely lit and atmospheric. The food is very good, plenty of choice to cater for all tastes and a daily specials board. Some of our party who were not too hungry had 2 starters and were very satisfied with the portion sizes... From the street you would be hard pressed to want to eat here. It appears to have 2 tables and a busy kitchen and not much else. If you risk it the downstairs is wonderful, an open cave with tables and a bar. Sorry, gotta say, I was not impressed at having a Jacob's Crackers plastic lid holding up the... More

I'd been on holiday in Dorset with my 87 year old father who spotted La Caverna. On our last night we invited a couple of friends for dinner. It was a marvellous evening. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere enjoyable and the service first class. Heading for the door, Franco invited us to enjoy a Grappa with him. Soon we... More

I loved the food here, I went for a seafood risotto and could not believe the shellfish and seafood that was on my plate. I had plenty and it was very fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Real character, friendly service, good wine list, brilliant Italian food. We had planned on a quick cheap meal after gaining an impression from looking at it from outside, but when we got in and saw what was on offer on the specials of the day board we had a full three course meal, and nothing disappointed.

Dined here with the Mrs on a Friday night and enjoyed a great meal. All the tables are downstairs in what we learnt was an old grain cellar. It's brilliantly decked out with painted walls and really cosy. The food was superb. We were a bit safe and went for lasagna and a pizza, and both were superb. Whitebait and... More

We had a meal here midweek but if you wanted to visit at the weekend it would be advisable to book as the restaurant is downstairs in a cavern environment ie not a lot of room! But small is beautiful and this family run business has friendly helpful staff and a tasty menu. I would much rather a meal here... More
