Quaint Tea Room

A quaint little tea room in a small village setting offering a small menu of what would appear to be wonderful foods. We arrived at 4.15 and so only able to have afternoon tea which was no problem. Massively generous sized scones with a good serving of clotted cream and jam, not to mention the... read more

Wasn't expecting more than a pot of tea and a tea cake but ...how wrong can you be ? Lovely friendly service although the girls were two men ( women ) down on what must have been one of the first sunny and borderline warm Fridays this year. They are licensed (I cancelled my pot of tea in favour of... More

A lovely converted old school, we only stopped for coffee but couldn't resist their home-made scones as well - we tried a ginger and treacle and a cheese one, both delicious. The church across the road is a must while in the area - it is a real little gem with its etched glass windows and connection to T E... More

Delightful rustic tea rooms. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful. The Mothers day Menu choices were great, and hard to chose from! All meals were home cooked and delicious and very well presented. Our party of 9, all very happy with their meals! It was a lovely Mothers Day Lunch!

Wonderfully rustic converted schoolhouse setting, a warm welcome & accommodating staff prior to our arrival when we had to ask to change our booking. The menu was varied, interesting & we'll priced. The service was efficient & friendly. The food was delicious, good portion size, fresh tasty ingredients, attractively presented, cooked beautifully. A thoroughly lovely lunch enjoyed very much by... Whilst out walking with our friends today, we stopped off at Moreton Tea Rooms for lunch (the plan anyway!). We live locally and have eaten there on many occasions over the years. The Tea Rooms used to be the Jewel in Moreton's Crown. The staff, service and food used to be excellent. HOWEVER, this has rapidly gone down hill to... More

This cafe/restaurant looks good but does not live up to expectations. The Food is expensive with slow service, small portion and cheap ingredients. The ' house' tea could have been PG tips as it was black, we'll stewed and no hot water to dilute,we left it. if better tea wanted its £4.50 for two people, so expensive. We waited 40... More

Thank you for your review and I am sorry that you did not enjoy your visit to the Tearooms. In answer to some of your complaints: - I can assure you that we do not use cheap ingredients; almost all are sourced locally and provenance is important to us (you may have noticed that our menus list our suppliers) -... We went back to Moreton tea rooms after previously enjoying the experience but going for a lete sunday breakfast was a big mistake. We were not welcomed when we arrived and the service was very poor. The server did not engage with us and seemed very grumpy. We ordered a savoury cream tea and a breakfast. The savoury cream tea... More

Visited this place on the 8th February A typical country tea room However , the staff were abrupt and not friendly We had to ask out waters to clean our table twice and she obviously did not like it Well I am not eating off a dirty table, surely when they clear a table they wipe it. Popped in for a late lunch this afternoon. Sat at the table for over 10 mins with no service so I went to the front desk for an allergy menu, which was helpfully advertised on a chalk board near our table. A good ten mins after that our order was finally taken. The staff didn't make us feel welcome at... More
