On a cold day in January it was wonderful to find a small, friendly cafe complete with open fire in th backstreets of Dorchester. Home made fishcakes and abundant salad, everything else looks great too. Welcoming staff and everything kept properly clean and tidy.

This cafe has become our 'regular' place whenever we visit Dorchester. It's a little out of the way - down a lane off the main shopping street - but is a treasure of a cafe. It's simply decorated and has a couple of artist's whose work is displayed The decoration is simple, soft greens with old tables and comfy chairs... More

Located on two floors in an old building, Potters has a good menu with a daily specials board. We had a roast vegetable Tagine which was excellent and delivered to the table in the tagine. The staff are young and efficient and the restaurant itself is clean and well decorated. It has a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. In warmer weather... More

Attentive staff, quick service and great food. Have never had a bad experience there. When friends come to stay, it's where I take them to eat :)

Prompt service and good grub well cooked. Pleasant unobtrusive service. Would have given five stars except the promised wi-fi was useless. Will go again -sooo much better than the chains. JS

I've just read through some of the other reviews and am deeply saddened by some of the comments. This is my local, I love coming for a full breakie or a freshly made sandwich at lunch time! There is such a great selection, I always find something I fancy! The cafe is busy, however I always feel welcome, the atmosphere... More
