Surprisingly good curry

I never expect a curry in a pub to be anything other than 'okay', but just had a fab chicken peanut yummy meal tonight. We'll definitely be back.

Just stopped at this pub on our way home and what a find! Greeted by Micky and his wife. Had a great lunch. I had the chicken Penang curry and my hubby had the prawn arrabiata, plus we just had to try one of the lovely puddings on the list. Food was wonderful and the whole place was so clean... More

From when I telephoned to book for an overnight stop it felt as thought I was talking to old friends. The landlord came out and greeted us when we arrived and showed us where we could park. We then went into The Brewers Arms for a meal. As we walked through the door the staff greeted us with a smile... More

We went here with friends for a meal and were not disappointed. It was fortunate that we had booked as it was full. Because of the layout, however, it did not feel overcrowded and the service was excellent, despite being so busy. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was quite a variety on the menu and the specials... More

Recently spent a very enjoyable evening at The Brewers Arms, Martinstown. The pub was warm and welcoming and well supported. The menu was varied with plenty of choice for every taste and the service was attentive but not over he top which was refreshing. One thing I was criticise was the volume of the background music as I found it too... We decided to visit the Brewers arms as we are on a new year/my 40th birthday break and we were meeting a family member who drive up from plymouth. I chose this pub based on previous trip advisor comments. And I must say the CMS T's were true, lovely little village that is only surpassed by the welcome and the... More

I visited this with about 20 friends, a dog and a 6 month old baby on Christmas Eve after walking over Maiden Castle from Dorchester. Throughout all our communication before the day, the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. When our numbers doubled on the day, they reacted calmly, happily sorting out extra space for us. The menu, whilst reduced... More

Don't go any further! If you're looking for a pub with great service ,a warm atmosphere and brilliant food then you've found it! The Brewers is a gem. We often visit the pub and last night a group of 10 of us had a Christmas meal there. Everything was faultless and a great time was full. Despite the pub being... More

We've visited The Brewers 4 times now and every time it's a winner with whatever we eat. Tuesday curry night is tasty, the fish cakes are a winner, the steak and stilton very meaty and filling. Whatever we eat, it's a filler, but when we think about not having a desert we never resist a bread n butter pudding -... More
