A huge disappointment. A poor selection on the menu left us struggling to find something we might like. The pie was nice, if a little sickly with the addition of stilton, the vegetables bland/tasteless (the cook obviously doesnt season!) The cauliflour was discoloured in the middle, indicating a lack of freshness/poor preparation. My chicken starter was acceptable but the foul... More

When in Dorset (anywhere in Dorset) make a destination The Brewers Arms! The atmosphere is spot on, even better now the referb is finished, the food is home made and cooked to perfection, the beer is great and the owners and staff are friendly, welcoming, helpful, funny and really nice people. The price is reasonable also. I live in preston,... More

Knew we'd be passing by Dorchester at lunch time, so browsed Tripadvisor for a good Pub Stop. The Brewers Arms did not disappoint, the welcoming hosts and good service from the staff stood out. The pub has clearly been well decorated, and has an excellent menu and beer choice. Was a tad dissapointed at the price of a pint, but... More

Excellent food in friendly surroundings, will definitely be back again. The staff were very friendly and were knowledgable about the local area, I had the fish (pollack) perfectly cooked. Thoroughly recommend.

I only get to visit the area once a year but I make this a destination. The staff are so friendly to locals and strangers alike. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and the place is spotlessly clean. And did I mention the food is excellent. They have the best nut roast I've ever eaten, but if that... More

From the moment we walked in, the staff really made an effort. The service at the bar was enthusiastic, with knowledgeable staff and with a smile. Service in the restaurant was fine. Good menu and great good. Thoroughly recommended

Whilst on a brief break in the area, we searched the net for a nearby pub for food. There was two. The Brewerts had a Curry Night and so that sealed it. We weren't disappointed. The place is light and clean and trendy without pretentious. The owners are very attentive and give the service you would expect from an owner... More

Anne-Marie , Mickey and Chris and staff went out of their way to welcome our touring u15 rugby team and parents for dinner last weekend. We had pre ordered our meals which were all fresh, home-made and excellent. Service was superb and like clockwork, highly impressive given that there were 40 of us. Complementary squash for 21 thirsty players and... More

Don't normally write reviews but felt the need to this time as everyone needs to know what a great local pub this is. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Anne-Marie, Sara, Chris & Micky and the rest of their staff. We stayed in their two spacious, delightfully decorated, rooms which were converted from a former skittle alley. The... More
