Better than your average pub!

Very good food, with interesting options. Not cheap though - especially the puddings! The meat and vegetables were cooked beautifully. Essential to book to eat here though, as it's very popular.

I had booked a table for two for my wife's 30th birthday, and what can I say the meal was absolutely excellent. The staff were very friendly and the food was brilliant. I would recommend the deep fried king prawns for starter they were delicious and not greasy at all! Not a bad word to say about this place, any... More

Had to find a pub half way between Christchurch and Tiverton and luckily we found The Brewers Arms. I booked in advance as there were 10 adults 2 children and a new born baby to cater for. We had a table in the restaurant but as it was a beautiful day the owners arranged some tables outside for us. All... More

We decided to have a quick lunch at the Brewers Arm before attending a wedding. The staff was great. Delicious food and quick service. Lovely!

We visited this pub as a lunch stop whist travelling to Devon. We liked the other reviews found on here and weren't disappointed. Good location (Dorchester was a good halfway point on our journey), but going via Martinstown meant we could avoid going into Dorchester itself. A lovely little village, very pretty and idyllic. Service with a smile, very welcoming,... More

Arrived after the food finishing time, with 2 wet labradors, got a warm welcome, food which was lovely, and biscuits for the dogs. Really lovely place, friendly staff and owners, nothing too much trouble. Shall be back and recommend to anyone. ....

Four adults and four children, dropped in for a Friday afternoon lunch on the way back from Devon. Lovely place, easy to find and good parking. They were welcoming and moved two tables to seat us all. Good kids meals (with excellent ice cream desert included) adults have very reasonable and well cooked baguettes for the adults. All in all... Enjoyed a good night out in this pub set in the delightful village of Martinstown. The welcome was great and the beer excellent - straight from the cask. The pub was humming with activity and clearly popular with the locals and visitors alike. The menu was not as wide-ranging as many other places but we had no complaints. Would certainly... More

Popped in to this pub last night and wow, what a lovely night we had. First and foremost we wanted a pub that was dog friendly but also served good food for us! We were no disappointed. As we went through the door we were warmly welcomed and although the bar was busy being a Saturday they accommodated us (5)... More
